MIDDLE EAST: Joy in Israel and dramatic scenes! More Hamas hostages released from Gaza!
After 16 months of being held hostage, Hamas has released three more Israeli hostages. Jarden Bibas, whose wife and children are still missing, as well as Ofer Kalderon and Kfir Siegel were handed over to the Red Cross. Israel had previously protested against the public “ceremonies” in which hostages were harassed by a crowd. While those released are now returning, the fate of many others remains uncertain. At the same time, Israel is continuing the release of Palestinian prisoners - a controversial but politically necessary deal.
