As you can probably tell, we're a multiracial family (or interracial family or mixed family - whichever term you prefer). Carmen is Chinese and Belgian, and mostly grew up in Hong Kong. Serge's parents are both from Benin in West Africa, and he was born and raised in NYC.

Maybe I missed it but how long was the flight(s), from NY to the lodge?
So long lol. We’ll cover that in our full travel vlog! We flew Emirates via Dubai so had a really long layover. But you can also fly direct to Nairobi via Kenya Airways which saves a lot of time!

Guys I’ll let you in on another secret… never never never ever book anything in Africa as a foreigner… my wife is kenyan and she books anything and everything in kenya and when I tell you how mad there people at resorts are when they find out I’m American and didn’t screw me over by thousands of dollars 😂😂😂
