    I could watch this all offseason! So nice to see we finally have a franchise altering point guard! Love Vucevic, oladipo and Tobias Harris, but Payton is the centerpiece of this team!

    Don't see a lot of rookies as smart as him. Always has his head up and knows his options, then has the handle and athleticism to move the defense to where he wants it and can usually make the play to a teammate. People want his jumpshot to get better which is obvious but honestly he is going to be a bigger threat if he becomes a smarter finisher. Magic fans know that a lot of his missed FGs came from getting blocked at the rim early in the year, then he learned how to better finish around the rim and use his body to shield defenders. Thats what I want to see him keep working on and getting better at, because he already finds people at the rim but if he is an elite finisher then there are going to be a lot of big men who don't know how to help against him.

    The most impressive part of his game during his rookie season was his defense. I hope he keeps it up.

    If he ever develops a shot, he'd be ridiculously good. It doesn't have to be the 3 ball. A nice mid range game so the defender can't just go under the screen all the time would go a long way.

  • @adanvillanueva8038
    @adanvillanueva8038 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If Elfrid works on his shooting he can be a top 3 point guard in the east because he shows good passing ability and can attack the basket.

  • @freestylerandmc101
    @freestylerandmc101 9 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    Lol he must've been studying derrick rose and rondo because he plays like the both of them. If he bulks up and works on his mid range he'll be a threat until he tears a knee.

    • @aidenmccarthy792
      @aidenmccarthy792 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      freestylerandmc101 honestly i think he's pretty unique as a player. Rondo is way smaller, rose is too but also more explosive and not as good of a defender or rebounder, i'd say maybe a poor man's Young jason kidd is a decent comparison. Very unique player though.

    • @keyntankeye
      @keyntankeye 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Aiden McCarthy I think he means the style of play, not the physical tools. The first 3 clips after 1:00 is very drose like. He likes to run at the defender full speed and then hit'em with the crossover then attack the rim. Also rondo and Payton are pretty much the same height but tbh I think he's already a better dime passer than rondo.

    • @eltonlaborde7284
      @eltonlaborde7284 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      keyntankeye rondo is 6'1 payton 6'4 or 6'3 not really the same height though.

    • @keyntankeye
      @keyntankeye 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      elton laborde yea, rondo is ofc 6'1 the reason i say he's pretty much the same height is because his wingspan and athleticism. There some players who are short but because of their physicals tools they seem taller, kinda like Brandon wright he's 6'9 but he really looks like 6'10 or 6'11. Idk if that made sense didn't explain it to well

    • @eltonlaborde7284
      @eltonlaborde7284 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      keyntankeye yeah true just saying saying the difference in height lol.

  • @screamingtrees9619
    @screamingtrees9619 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Very underrated as a rookie not as a player yet but he definitely has the tools to become something big, if he bulks up, improves his defense and gets a mid or 3 he can be a star! But from what I've seen this guy can play and he also has the coolest fucking hair in the nba lol

  • @lonewolfnh89
    @lonewolfnh89 9 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    I feel like Elfrid and Oladipo are gonna one day give John Wall and Bradley Beal a run for the best back court in the East.

    • @freestylerandmc101
      @freestylerandmc101 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      haile 89 he can see the floor much better than wall and probably has a higher ceiling. Oladipo and beal are just relying on their athleticism. they should be using that with a great post up game like kobe or wade to help them beat bigger and smaller defenders.

    • @Reefer-Rampage69

    • @Reefer-Rampage69
      @Reefer-Rampage69 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      haile 89 kyle is extremely strong for his size and despite his size he's actually really quick and he's lost weight this offseason. But he can't jump very high he can barely dunk

      +Josh Ivery Pass first pgs are boring to a lot of people, but he was the first rookie to post back to back triple doubles since '97. He's a traditional style pg that can get at it defensively. That's not boring to me but everybody has their own opinion.
