Im not sure how often you rescue wild animals, but it is EXTREMELY important for you to get vaccinated against rabies. It is literally a matter of life and death. When you find ANY animal in trouble or distress, there MUST'VE been a reason for them to become that way. Even though rabies is found in a very small population of bats, that percentage increases dramatically when you find a bat in trouble. Remember, a wild animal in trouble had a reason they were in trouble. And once you show even the slightest symptom of rabies, it is too late. Rabies is 100% fatal. UNDERSTAND that! Once symptoms show, IT IS TOO LATE! Also, not all bats echolocate, and they should be fed 6 to 8 times a day, a minimum of 5% of their body weight. I cant judge by the video how much they were eating, but they need a lot. their stomachs should literally be bulging until they can feed themselves.
Pinned because you make important points - but no worries, I'm vaccinated. Because I'm the type who always ends up touching the animal ^^' And yeah, the feeding time is heavily edited, they were drinking for like 20 mins at a time in the beginning, every few hours. (And while we're at it, the very young ones shouldn't be overfed either, can be fatal.)
@@awesomarium370 Good. But it's not only a rabies matter... bats host hundreds of viruses (depend. of species), including about sixty that can be transmitted to human (zoonotic).
sure and thank you, but they need our help as well, the population of bats is disappearing due to the human environment around their HOMES, so its the LEAST we can do to help them, they HEP US by eating all the flying insects there are , help prevent many other situations, so its the LEAST we can do for them
I constantly marvel at their physiology, micro or mega. Baby, juvenile or adult. Bats are truly special. And clearly highly intelligent and emotional. And they’re pretty damned cute.
@ Makayla B… Except when the baby is wildlife. Then each species has a specific protocol to ensure maximum viability. Think about it like this: If, say, a 12-year-old human finds a human baby, nobody would encourage him to raise it by himself just because it’s cute.
RESPECT to you for doing such a wonderful job raising these vulnerable and utterly beautiful creatures. I can't get over how tiny they are! What kind of milk do they have? I thought my heart would burst when the babies found each other and cuddled - just wonderful! Well done you, they are thriving in your expert care.
@@awesomarium370 Oh my, that sounds a very complex mix! It's obviously a magic formula, they are doing brilliantly well and getting bigger by the day. Bravo!

@@terywetherlow7970 Agreed, Meg is wonderful too - it's so good to know there are these heroes around who care about vulnerable bats, and will step in with loving expert care when they are in crisis.
This was so touching., especially when they found each other. I have had bats get into my house and I've come to love them. They have such delicate features and soft skin. Thank you for helping them!!! xo
I just found this video and subscribed. I love bats and been watching the Australian bat channels for years, and I love seeing how you deal with these micro bats. They are epic awesome sauce! Watching this video put a smile on my face, and I thank you for that and for the cure you give these delicate, tiny, precious lives! God bless you!
This was an award winning video. These videos should be in schools. Amazing is inadequate to describe the video and dedication of the bat savior! 😊😊🤗🤗😍😍🥰🥰🥰
These are beautiful, fascinating babies! So blessed to have such a kind, devoted "mom" to nurture them through this important time. They are so very tiny and your so gentle. God Bless you for fostering these amazing bats!
A bat flew into my truck grill as I was getting on the expressway. I got a stick and got him to hook his feet on it. Put him in the back corner of the truck bed out of the wind. Took him home and hung him by the stick in the tomato garden. Mixed up hummingbird nectar and some ground up fish pellets in water and used an eyedropper to feed him these mixtures seperately. He took off after 2 days.
They are so adorable..I love bats and glad that there are other out there who do too. Keep doing what your doing Bats sure need help and they pollinate as well so we need them.
Thank you! I have had bats get into my house. I put on THICK leather fireplace gloves for anti-bite and caught them in a pillowcase. I had no idea they were so so light, like a bird, and so gentle. The poor things wanted outside as much as I wanted them out. So, I gently let them back outside to go eat more insects for us!
Far too much cuteness! Beautiful. The music is really lovely too and really serves the video instead of being intrusive and annoying as it often is in animal videos.
ok that is just the cutest damned thing ever. If I go randomly blind for no reason tonight I can say I went out with the cutest final boss of an image.
What a beautiful and heartwarming video! I rescued an adult Noctule bat when I was a kid and took it to a bat specialist. Sadly the bat could not go back to the wild due to permanent wing damage but he lived on for several decades as an "animal ambassador" used in educational activities at museums and nature centres. Really special little creatures.
I think you have done a wonderful job with these little baby bats. It made me cry of happiness watching the two babies laying together in their "nest". Well done. People who complain about these marvelous creatures, generally think the world was made Just for humans. We are here tô care for the Earth and protect other animal species, particularly these little fellas.
I love them so much! I’ve been intrigued and have highly respected all bats, but specifically the Vampire bat after doing a research paper on them in school. Incredible adorable creatures! They’re magnificent and the love the feel is palpable. Thank you 🤗 🕊
Too adorably cute! Since bats are social animals (live in colonies) it's really good they grow up with each other. It probably helped encourage their will to live, just having company 🥰. Love the video!
Thank you so much for helping rescue bats! They are so important to the environment, and such amazing animals, and we're destroying their homes. ☹️ People need to realize how important they are, so thanks for the amazing videos, and thanks for all you do for them! 😊💜
Bats 🦇🦇🦇🦇are another misunderstood Sentient being that deserves our attention. Thank you 🙏 so much for rescuing both babies. Your willingness to help them even though you were unfamiliar with bats. Actually some people have been know to survive it so not 100%. I think like 14 people have survived it which still not a % I’d take the chance on.

People forget how social and affectionate bats are with each other, one of many reasons to love them.
And for the utilitarians, bats also serve as natural pest control
I constantly marvel at their physiology, micro or mega. Baby, juvenile or adult. Bats are truly special. And clearly highly intelligent and emotional. And they’re pretty damned cute.
I started watching a woman who rescues foxbats. When I saw this video I thought,
this guy has some big hands.
Their sweet little "baby bat wings" are so endearing...BTW, I just love your beautiful choice of soothing/uplifting music to accompany your footage...

I have read somewhere that bats are so social and caring that they take care of elderly bats, especially with food.
Yeah I can totally see that. Diracula kind of took on the mum role for his little bro - even if he's sometimes annoyed, they are so sweet!
