Whether Rangers fans want to admit it or not, they are still not back to being on the same level as Celtic. Celtic bottled the league in 20/21 and I think many Rangers fans took that as a sign that they were back on terms with Celtic, but its just not true. They dont have the same quality of players throughout their team.

The title win that season is given creedence only because they ‘stopped’ Celtic’s 10 in a row attempt. Something that existed only as a point scoring bit of banter between the fans (just like Celtic stopping Rangers 10 in a row attempt man years ago) so I’ll never understand the narrative around him. Done f all as a Manager since then.

That is where it went wrong for rangers as we didn't invest in the squad and strengthen on the back of that title win,the old saying you snooze you lose comes to mind and Celtic came back with a bang while we played second fiddle again,gio and beale both failed to move us forward(different reasons in each case but same result) now Clement has come in and whilst he did get some performances out of the team the underlying issues are still present so again we need to give him the backing Stevie g didn't get or it will be another season of playing second fiddle to Celtic!

he inherited a team that isnt very good and had fallen far behind celtic as a result,yes he managed to win a cup and pull us back into the title race and i think this made fans forget how terrible we were before,but he isnt a miracle worker and he has taken this team as far as it can go,it is clear that we need a huge overhaul in the summer,hopefully the board back him or we will struggle again next season!

@@Sean_Doire I grew up in Edinburgh and I'd say Hibs and Hearts have more (certainly more going to games). Edinburgh might be the only place in Scotland where that's the case now though.

Simon mentioned yesterday morning about how “lucky” Brendan Rodgers has been this season at Celtic.
Celtic have lost three games this season, and Rangers six! For a man that likes to deal in facts he seems to be completely losing the plot. Celtic have won two derbies and drawn the other most recently. Note thy have achieved this largely without their best players being available in Hatate, Vickers and Maeda.
Also, Clement has been praised for the job he has done at Rangers… he has a worse record than his predecessor Michael Beale, yep.
Also on Rodgers being flakey. He’s conducted himself with nothing but professionalism, and was well within his rights calling out the level of officiating in the country, him and most mangers have had to do that this season.
On the other hand Clement has come out sounding absurd in his post match comments after all of the must win games he has failed in.

Clement came in when Rangers were 7 points behind & a 10 goal deficit so you can't really compare his stats to Beales 🤔

The wose part is i never seen them celebrating there 0-0 draw last night. They seemed to do a lap of honour and celebrating a 3-3 draw against celtic with no celtic fans allowed into the stadium. Clement done a good job overall. They should be nowhere near Celtic tbf. Celtic are a decent side and Rangers are a terrible side. I agree with Simon re Rodgers ..And i do think Celtic now shall win rest of their games and if not then draw and a few wins to clinch title as Rangers have bottled it . Thing is who wins this title reaps the benefit of a handsome profit of many millions for winning the title brings many more millions to the winners this season . And Celtic have already many millions in their bank as it is and also is rumours are true then Matt Oriley shall be gone this summer for a healthy profit

This is the last time celtic will get automatic champions league and the board won't break the wage structure because failing to make it through the qualifying rounds will leave a big hole in finance. They will do what they always do, spend around 25 million on either unproven talent or slightly bigger names that have fallen away from the bigger scene. This auto cl spot was never going to last so 3 straight years is a bonus but it's back to the play off rounds next year which celtic and rangers can't seem to handle.
A player costing 10million would command a wage around 50k a week so you sign them on 4 year deals that's another 40 million on top of the 40 spent buying them so 80million spent on 4 players to play Scottish football and a few games in Europe? you didn't happen to be an accountant at ibrokes a few years ago did you?

Simon if you are going to try and diminish Celtic's achivement of wrestling the league titles away from the club formally know as the Glasgow Rangers. Now called The Rangers because they let the Glasgow Rangers die and were punished for cheating. Unfortinately all you are doing is reinforcing how Glasgow Celtic beat the cheating Rangers and this highlights how impressive of a team The Glasgow Celtic were and still are! Jordan is the best pundit out there, intelligent and honest. Knows what he’s talking about. Unlike the mayor of Manchester and his bodyguard Keane, and spit the scouser
Jordan is not a pundit, his football opinions are woeful and he does not possess any level of expertise of the game, and it shows. The word pundit implies a level of expertise in a specific field, and Simon does not have any football expertise.
He thinks he's an expert in business and finance but he's a failed football club owner who almost went bankrupt, so again, not really an expert, is he. He describes himself as an entrepreneur yet he works here, sharing this tabloid-level platform with such luminaries as Gabby Agbonlahor and Jamie O'Hara. If he was the business expert he claims to be, he'd be raking in the cash from some business venture and sunning it up somewhere abroad, not working 5 days a week at crappy TalkSPORT and writing crappy articles for crappy and obnoxious newspapers like the Daily Mail.
Simon routinely uses words out of context, makes words up, drops regular malapropisms and mispronounces words, all in an overreaching attempt to appear more intelligent than he truly is. That's pretentious and insecure behaviour. A truly intelligent person does not need to bend over backwards trying to convince people how smart they are. A wise person would also not be as arrogant and full of hubris as Simon is.
As for him being honest, he can't even admit when he's wrong! He loves to judge other people's character but it's clear he has not done any work on improving his own shallow character.

It was always in Celtic's hands, Rangers dropping 5 points in 2 games hasn't changed that, if Celtic win their games then they win the league.
Rangers have just taken the pressure off Celtic to an extent, but Celtic will be extra motivated now anyway, as they could potentially wrap the title up with a home win against Rangers

Simon doesn't get it when he talks about Celtic and Rangers doing well financially and the rest failing. The two things are related. No other country the size of Scotland has one club the size of Celtic or Rangers and Scotland has two. It's a tiny market and two clubs dominate it, what can a club do when they only have fans in their small town and they're the third best supported team there?
