      That's an interesting question for me. People ask me that, why do I watch such things when I fly so frequently for my job (field service.) I guess the answer I have is that I like to be informed, I find it compelling, I love the knowledge of what has been improved by the FAA over time so things are better, and it strikes emotions that I'm not super happy to have, yet they make me feel human. Why am I glued the the Gabby Petito case? Same. It makes me sad, but confirms I'm alive. I'm going to guess you make these videos for similar reasons. I do thank you for them though.

      @@ratataran Just because he wasn't on the plane doesn't mean he didn't share a sense of trauma with the passengers. If you saw someone crawling out of a plane wreckage, burning, and their skin was peeling off. You would also feel traumatized. Not to mention, a plane did crash into your house, no?

    What a tragedy. I commend the pilots on landing the plane and the man who tried his best to get the co-pilot out. Even the flight attendant, who was hurt herself, requested that the doctors attend to others. That is the epitome of a true flight attendant, protecting their passengers. I've read before that one of the reasons that flight attendants sit facing the opposite way, at least at the front of the aircraft, is to increase their chances of survival.

    Correction: I was wrong in the previous video, in fact, not all the survivors had to go through the fire and a few escaped before it even started. The ones that did have to go through the fire, though, what I said still applies - absolutely mind numbing horror. Third degree burns are among the most awful wounds there are; it's very difficult and very painful to recover from them and there is always pain and loss of function afterward.

    why not have an automatic fire extinguishing system on the plane, or provide fire blankets or clothing that can be worn like a jump suit, they're looking for less flammable fuel but the fact is fire is fire, even when using less flammable fuel the flames will burn people, and the smoke is lethal too. they should look for creative solutions...they can make the plane in compartments so if the plane breaks it will break in specific compartments that will seal up and is fire rated from the out side, and fire extinguishers on the inside to put out any fires inside the compartment itself and an exhaust system to extract any smoke in the compartment, and instead of the people leaving and getting burned, they'll stay in these protected chambers until first responders arrive.... this concept is used in Burj Khalifa in Dubai, if a fire occurs, people aren't expected to walk down over 100 floors of stairs, so there are fire proof chambers every set amount of floors where people will stay in until the fires are put out, I feel there is some serious neglect on the FAA's part when it comes to fire protection in planes.

    • @MatyasArby
      @MatyasArby 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Problem to overcome is weight and cost. Your example works because it is in a building. Everything you add to a plane adds weight that has to be overcome and planes are enormously expensive to build and operate as it is. Then your potential customers will fly somewhere else to save $1.

    Make a fuel that burns through something other then oxygen or put more fire extinguishers on planes like under seats or in the over heads? Maybe put a flame proof ramp somewhere on the plane or even make the doors flame proof so they can be used as ramps and on that note try putting some inflatable rafts in the plane!

    Watching the reenactment the Hachette shown had me worried. The standard crash axes have a semicircular blade and a pick opposite on a flat solid steel handle all one piece with a insulating handle over it. The one I found online today is a G D42 Crash Axe On Amazon for $99.99 US and on Granger for 164.95 I have seen older ones going for $750.00. If what was shown was accurate I believe that alone is a FAA Violation.
