Imagine a game with the gameplay mechanics of Shadow of Mordor, with Pelinal as the player, going from town to town slaying Ayleid lords and others, with great graphics and lore. I'd give my kidney for that
Basically what is sounds like is Pelinal was a godlike human/daedra from the future who used an elderscroll to change time. Bascially it makes you wonder what his world was like which made him want to come to that time.
yeah, with an elder scroll anything is basically possible and impossible at the same time. he might as well have come from our world to there when you follow that logic.
my theory is: Pelinal comes from original future which humans are still enslaved by ayleids. Pelinal's family gets killed by ayleids or something like that. Pelinal uses a elder scroll to go back time and stop human slavery. It's a dragonbreak or something like that I suppose.
In the game Oblivion (if I remember correctly) you aren't allowed to use Pelinal's armor if you follow the steps of the Dark Brotherhood. Who worship Sithis. Which leads me to believe that he is not tied to Lorkan or Sithis. Since they are from the same line.
You can, but you must undergo a pilgrimage to the wayshrines, and have finished the Brotherhood questline in order to make sure your forgiveness stays valid.
Man, Pelinal Whitestrake is just one of the best characters. Insane "Cyborg" from the future Chuck Norris elf murder machine. So interesting man. I guess that's Kirkbride for you, since he wrote Knights of the Nine. Has anyone played the Knights of the Nine: Revelation mod for Oblivion??
As a fan of actual History, I can only be a fan of TES history I started playing oblivion in 2006, it was my first game on PS3 and I still come back to it every so often Thanks for all the videos!
Pelinal, possibly a Shezzarine, saying his maniacal homicidal rages feel like “when the dream no longer needs its dreamer” goes hard AF. Think about having a dream and the beings in it being so wronged, that the dream itself becomes animate and goes on a rage bender. This gets even crazier when you consider the concept of the Godhead, and all of the Aurbis being a dream. Either the creation/dream itself, or Shor/Lorkhan, being the heart of Mundus itself, was PISSED at the Ayleids. Just. Damn.
Devs too lazy to create templates for the other races so they said theyr now extinct, and refuse to have a game based on that era despite such a game being wanted by majority of the fans
I was just thinking that the Alessian Revolt could be a great idea for an Elder Scrolls prequel game, where you either side with Alessia or the Ayleids and you get to see the aftermath afterwards.
I would love to see the next Elder Scrolls set in the first era. Its so rich in lore than has only been written about, and it would really be a fresh breath into the series.
YAY ANOTHER LORE VIDEO!!! These are my favorite lore videos on youtube, you do a great job of making it simple enough for everyone to understand but not dumbing it down at all. Thanks for all you do!
I'd love a book or comic set during The Alessian Slave Rebellion. I know we hear about it and have a lot of details but it'd be something incredible to see it from a first person perspective.
yeah, those ayleids did sme seriously messed up shit. what he decribed here doesn't even compare. i'm a hardcore horror fan but even that made my throath ichy.
OMG YOUR GUYS LORE VIDS ARE AMAZING YOU DESERVE WAY MORE SUBS. I THOUGHT YOU QUIT TH-cam AFTER THE OTHER VIDS. THANKS FOR COMING BACK AND CARRY ON MAKING GOOD VIDEOS!
Great video! Very informative and easy to follow. The pictures really make a good presentation. Forgive my ignorance, do you have or can you make a video on the breton/direnni relationship?? Bretons are my favorite and would love some lore videos.
I've been a big fan of the elder scrolls since Morrowind..my favorite of course.. anyway out of all of the lore videos I enjoyed yours the most..well spoken and excellent presentation.. I've found four so far and can't wait for new ones..thank you for your time making these
It would be interesting to play as Pelinal Whitestrake in future games where it would involve you time traveling back Dragonborn style using the Elder Scroll of Time and becoming part of history.
well done. amazing vid, amazing narration, very interesting to watch and listen. It reminded me of King Laloriaran Dynar, the Last Ayleid King - just saying that he could have been mentioned too.
@@Super50ldier In some of the books in the elder scrolls universe, they mention different things about Pelinial (i dont remember exactly what they say. I have not played elder scrolls in a few years) But anyway, because of the way he was described, it sort of became a meme in the elder scrolls fan community that he was a time traveling robot with laser eyes.
So i watched all your videos (4) in a row, and now i have to wait for a year? Your videos are good. Why cant you have +500k subs and do this full time :(
I think Pelinal’s purpose only is to make sure that the past where he travelled (assuming he’s from the future) really did go according to plan. That’s why he didn’t travel way distant in the past and killed eleven king to not affect the future.
i love your lore videos we need a channel like this it seems all the big ones are getting lazy and lose that start up magic. looking forward to seeing more of these

Best Elder Scrolls lore vids that I have seen.
Would you mind doing one on the Ideal masters?
Pelinal has the same energy of Kratos, Doomguy, and Guts.
Not just each of them separately but as if all three had a lovechild. Honestly, I'd love to get to know more about him and where he came from.
Well mostly doomguy. Same devs. (Or publishers)
angry angry angry. kill kill kill
It's the same guy. Living different realities, different times. Same guy. Forever fighting.
imagine if we end up playing as that dude in TES 6
that would be epic
Whitesrtake could be Lorkan.
That would explain why he is said not to have a heart
imo, It's heavily implied
Charles Reisner He’s shezarine, same as talos and arguably the Dragonborn
@@generalgrievous2438 You're going to be smothered by moths, but you're right.
Nah he’s like 4 large squirrels in a trench coat in battle armor
@Charles Reisner Possibly but at the same time i would expect him to be even more powerful if that was the case.

Me too...seriously I need to kill more elves.
I AM ANGRY
ANGRY ABOUT ELVES
Sounds like a Dynasty Warriors game.
Xenocide Would love that
Or the option to join the elves rather than the puny men. I need to burn more men.
Pelinal Whitstrake might be the terminator
More like Doom Slayer from Doom.
I was literally thinking he was a cyborg
Days of future past
No he is the Terminator
There’s some deeper lore about him elsewhere and yeah he’s most probably an actual homicidal cyborg. They pulled a Might and Magic.
We need a god damn movie about this. A choreographed fight between pelinal and umaril would be fantastic.
Preferably a tv series
try vigilant mod al of this is included (3 years late hehe)
Basically what is sounds like is Pelinal was a godlike human/daedra from the future who used an elderscroll to change time. Bascially it makes you wonder what his world was like which made him want to come to that time.
Nice theory, i'm tired of some people saying that he is a cyborg from the future, boooooring.
Really good point man.

Deniz Güler
I'm pretty sure he comes from a future after landfall
Tonyo Allie maybe Pelinal is a future player character?
"When the dream no longer needs its dreamer." Deep AF
Sounds like he was talking about Godhead

When im see Pelinal's picture my mind goes to
"LET'S DO A CRUSADE"

I have !
And i am also in it!
Pelinal Whitestrake the badass in the flesh
I can’t because whenever I install it it won’t let me start the game (I have properly installed OBSE version 21)
As a fan of actual History, I can only be a fan of TES history
I started playing oblivion in 2006, it was my first game on PS3 and I still come back to it every so often

If they ever make a movie out of the Elder Scrolls, it should be this.
You can thank me for that!
@Nihulistic99th stfu
All hail pelinal
@Nihulistic99th BEGONE ELF LOVER ALL PRAISE PELINAL
ALL PRAISE PELINAL!
@Nihulistic99th Silence, elf-lover. Pelinal Whitstrake did a service to the world of Nirn.
- How many Elves did you destroy with your genocidal rage, Pelinal?
- YES
Great vid see you again in 2020
ThatOneGuy hahaha this had me cracking up!
For real I was just thinking the same thing lol
LiveLoveLowery he wasn't joking
Perhaps it's true lol
It happen earlier my dude
I love the TES lore of the merethic and early 1st era...much more interesting than later epochs because of the multtude of now vanished races
Devs too lazy to create templates for the other races so they said theyr now extinct, and refuse to have a game based on that era despite such a game being wanted by majority of the fans
@@helixvoidecho Thwn why don't you go add them yourself to the game? Make it as non-lore friendly as you possibly can, bring the snow elves back.
I was just thinking that the Alessian Revolt could be a great idea for an Elder Scrolls prequel game, where you either side with Alessia or the Ayleids and you get to see the aftermath afterwards.
It'd be less than satisfying to see Pelinal laying waste to battlefields while you can kill one dude at a time lol
I'VE BEEN WAITING! And of course it's on one of my favorite lore scenes in the series, gotta love Pelinal Whitestrake
AllPie MustDie and i love you too!!!
Never clicked on a video so fast in my entire life. DN you doing amazing work and I need more of it. Respect.
Darcksage same
He's dead.
He's ALIVE!!
He's dead again.
He's ALIVE AGAIN.
Damn man you are awefully like Umaril XD
You should do a video with Zaric Zhakaron. You both agree on numerous things within the lore.
i dont want anothers youtuber in the cult of zhakaron
ariel shligman What a grand and intoxicating innocence. How could you be so naive? There is no escape.

I discovered this channel a few months ago and was afraid it was dead. Very happy its not. Fantastic video.
same here, glad the channel is still alive
Just a friendly thalmor reminder that Pelinal Whitestrake never existed.
Pointy-ear's propaganda.
*tips fedora*
Snobby elves
get out of here your filt long ears, if your eas serve for something hear this and get out of here.
Fucking cool hoods and gold armour cunts
5:50 i think it more likely he came specifically to kill elves.
Because the future times had no more elves.
Because Pelinal was there.
I think Pelonil is Loran’s because in the bard song Heart of lorkan Akatosh ripped Loran’s heart out
I'd love a book or comic set during The Alessian Slave Rebellion. I know we hear about it and have a lot of details but it'd be something incredible to see it from a first person perspective.
I would personally love to see a first person like Elder Scrolls spin off title where you play as Pelinal killing elves across the ages.
Aww hell yeah, you're back! Great vids
I've been waiting over half a year for this
yeah, those ayleids did sme seriously messed up shit. what he decribed here doesn't even compare. i'm a hardcore horror fan but even that made my throath ichy.

AWESOME video man! Thank You very much
Yay! I've been waiting forever for a new one! Looking forward to the next one.
Glad to see you back man
Elder scrolls lore in a nutshell: some elves decided to mistreat humans. Those elves went extinct.
Makes me wonder what'll happen to the thalmor.
I've been a big fan of the elder scrolls since Morrowind..my favorite of course.. anyway out of all of the lore videos I enjoyed yours the most..well spoken and excellent presentation.. I've found four so far and can't wait for new ones..thank you for your time making these
Holy crap you're back!
Pelinal is just an incarnation of Sigismund the first black templar
After all this time, YOU ARE BACK !!
It would be interesting to play as Pelinal Whitestrake in future games where it would involve you time traveling back Dragonborn style using the Elder Scroll of Time and becoming part of history.
I have been waiting for another one of these for soooo long
Pelinal Whitestrake vs Liberty Prime who would win?
Probably pelinal
None, Preston Garvey would mark a settlement on their map thus the battle would never take place.
part of me wants to believe that pelinal is liberty prime.
They'd team up to kill Commie Elves.
Friedrich Nietzsche your kidding right a demi god versus a robot of course a demi god would won
Absolutely need more of your TES lore videos

"They fucked" X'DDD the moment when you hear one word wrong...
Wait they say that pelinal white srake has no heart and some people say that he is lorkhan and lorkhan has his hear ripped out so it could be true

Awesome! When the next one is coming?
Plot twist, the unnamed knight from the eso cinematic was Pelinal before he got sent back in time.
So good. I always plan to read all the books in game, but never get to it. Really interested in the lore though.
