I worked here around 2009/10- 2012 when it was a Hilton and the interior has not changed one bit, everything in the rooms and exterior is exactly the same, shows how much money the Hilton spent when the chairs, tables, bedside tables, carpets are exactly the ones when I was there.
Mate, the first information you give is totally wrong, you are describing The Grand Metropole Hotel, now The Metropole a bit further south, the one on the seaside of the road. This was built in 1960s/70s
@@garyphillips006 I know, this is what I wanted to read, The hotel was built as the Pembroke Hotel in 1982, became the Hilton Hotel in 1999 and The Grand Hotel in 2017. But I totally forgot to change it, when editing a video I literally have to delete it from existence so been trying to change it instead of deleting it so your the first one to point it out haha
Really enjoying your videos last month or so, like your style. I am a Blackpool lad so not picking fault, I can be your historian / researcher if you wish lol. Genuinely been enjoying them so its not an aggressive "you are wrong" comment if it appears so.
@@garyphillips006 Gary to be honest its important that people point out things like this, its so so important to me I get things right, no matter where in the country or world I visit. I think sometimes its a combination of things, sometimes I can be reviewing several hotels over several days and it get get bogged down doing it so yea sometimes I make mistakes, sometimes I spot them sometimes I dont, this time I did but did not want to delete the video to make an edit haha but I would not take it any other way :) I know you watch the channel and I approbate it so much so glad you enjoy it! Sometimes I may ask a question about the history of something so please let me know lol I do need a historian :) again thanks for watching and commenting :)
