Its a bummer that Dee doesn't do crafts anymore either. For a while now it is just store hauls. She puts up shorts of old videos, which she does have tons of. She is soooo tallented. I miss her crafts. She was thee best! It appears she got burnt out? Idk. I asked her, she said she was getting more, but that was months and months ago. She sure was superb. Tell her I miss her. I was just thinking yesterday what else can you use the candlestick holders for besides tiered trays! Great ideas! For the last two weeks in my downtime from my vegetable garden I’ve been watching your playlists(👍 to all of them) But yesterday during the 3 hour Christmas video I fell asleep due to exhaustion and I dreamed you and I were at a craft fair and you were walking behind me with my laptop telling me YOU HAVE TO FINISH MY VIDEO!! That sounds like it came out really pretty! You can order from Dollar Tree online now in smaller quantities and it’s free shipping if you have it sent to your store. I believe you can return what you don’t want as well which leaves me guessing if this is how you stumbled across the two candlestick holders, and if somebody else did that. That’s often how you will get rare things inside a store that doesn’t carry a lot. 😘😊

Great video. I love using the candle sticks for numerous projects. I recreated Amber's chicken coop. I changed it up a bit and made my own but it was so much fun. No one would ever believe that it is made from a DT kids toy. I love all your ideas. Thanks for the inspiration for some more great projects.
Thank you for all your ideas. I will definitely save this video to refer to later as I have a box full of various candlesticks. There were several favorites, but this would take up too much comment space to list. Nonetheless, here's my top 4: the shadowbox with pearl strips, the birds on top of the candle wax burners, the lantern candlestick that you made to look like faux wood, and the one with the pip berry garland that fairy lights could be added. All fantastic!
PS: Holly, I forgot to mention. When you showed someone's candle stick idea with the modern canisters on top of the candle sticks, they are metal pencil holders from Staples and Office Depot has the same ones. I think the Dollar Tree metal mesh pencil holders with jute string weaved in and out of the lattice would look cool on a candle stick. With moss in each one and an egg or little bunny it would look cool.
I have some wonderful ideas after watching this video. And for the record I do not watch shopping videos or haul videos.( I miss Dee's original crafting videos ). Simply because everybody else's Dollar Tree does not carry what my Dollar Tree carries and that's depresses the hell out of me.😢
Holly, the craft you show at 10:38, can you tell me where you found it or do a video recreating it? I love it and could maybe figure it out on my own, but would prefer instructions if they are available.
The primitive candle? It’s just a tin can (of any height you wish) stuffed with Spanish moss and a candle in the center. You can substitute Dollar Tree candlestick holders glued on top of each other, and of course you can stain the DT emergency candlesticks I showed to look like wood, or paint them. That photo is from a Dollar Tree Facebook group a long time ago and it was not filmed unfortunately.

That’s how it was last year so double check with your store. That means maybe you would buy a box of candlesticks, but you only want five and you can return the rest to your store and get your money back. It’s a great work around.
Holly, Happy Saturday! I am still iny night gown laying under the covers with turential rain outside. Thursday it reached 90° and today it's 56°. I worked 12 hours at my job yesterday and I lay here looking at boxes that still need to be unpacked and I am wondering where my small fish bowl like vases are and my Dollar Tree candle sticks. In my little studio apartment I have a very large serving window with a wonderful windowsill that is very wide. I have my Mom's violin displayed on a slant, one end has antique books with my Mom's brass candle sticks on them a couple little china cups and I have an empty place beconing for something sweet. I have rec'd so much inspiration from this video. I do not have one dollar store near me. Arlington, VA has never had a Dollar Tree. I have written to them saying hey we need you here and I listed large empty stores that would be ideal for them. I have one exact have you have in this video in my kitchen with my great grandmother's mint growing in it that dates back to her victory garden. It's becoming unruly in the kitchen I may see if I can plant it in dirt and just keep it watered good inside until someday I hope to have my own yard. I will washout the vase good and at the plant store in my block get some white rocks such as you used and I have white pillar candles on hand, but I may do the wax paper and napkin hear gun effect on the candle to give it a dressy look in the vase. At Christmas time I had 2 of the white plastic faux lanterns in my cart but just before I went to the cashier I put them back. Within seconds I heard a woman so excited that they had 2 white ones left as she was going to make bookends with them on her dining room table sitting with holly and berries around the base.. I really wanted them but unsure where to use them. Driving home I thought darn, I could have used them on my serving window. Holly, I try to be upbeat and positive but one of the TH-cam crafters you mentioned to follow has never acknowledged me. One is awesome and always replies back and one never does when on Instagram and YouYube I make nice comments about their crafts. About 5 years ago for Christmas I made one of their crafts and displayed it on my Mom's mantle. I posted the craft with a shout out to the crafter showing her craft and mine. I had friends want me to make one for their Christmas displays. The crafter never commented. Us little people are who has them reaching 200,000 subscribers. I know every comment cannot be acknowledged but in 5 years she has never graced me with any reply. I stopped commenting on her videos but, I still watch them as she makes lovely crafts. My boyfriend and others say I am over sensitive but, I made a beautiful craft of her's and I felt it was right on my end to give her a shout out. I think on my lunch break on Monday I will run to the DT near me to see if I can get 2 of the candle sticks you used on your beautiful table. I really like the vase and the candle sticks and would like to display 2 on my Mom's harvest table. I have a neighbor who is out of work and I want help repositioning all my Mom's furniture and I will give him $100. I have a double wide dry sink from the 1800s and it's very heavy. My Dad made shelves underneath and it will be great storage for crafts. I have only a clothes closet very small and a tiny linen closet. I plan on stacking boxes against one wall and putting nice fabric over it with a piece of board on top with a basket for keys, etc maybe other ideas you had today. Sorry once again for a novel. One is awesome and always replies back and one never does when on Instagram and YouYube I make nice comments about their crafts. About 5 years ago for Christmas I made one of their crafts and displayed it on my Mom's mantle. I posted the craft with a shout out to the crafter showing her craft and mine. I had friends want me to make one for their Christmas displays. The crafter never commented. Us little people are who has them reaching 200,000 subscribers. I know every comment cannot be acknowledged but in 5 years she has never graced me with any reply. I stopped commenting on her videos but, I still watch them as she makes lovely crafts. My boyfriend and others say I am over sensitive but, I made a beautiful craft of her's and I felt it was right on my end to give her a shout out.
I think on my lunch break on Monday I will run to the DT near me to see if I can get 2 of the candle sticks you used on your beautiful table. I really like the vase and the candle sticks and would like to display 2 on my Mom's harvest table. I have a neighbor who is out of work and I want help repositioning all my Mom's furniture and I will give him $100. I have a double wide dry sink from the 1800s and it's very heavy. My Dad made shelves underneath and it will be great storage for crafts. I have only a clothes closet very small and a tiny linen closet. I plan on stacking boxes against one wall and putting nice fabric over it with a piece of board on top with a basket for keys, etc maybe other ideas you had today.
