This what I wanted to see in Infinite whenever you fast travel to a fob to have some banished encounters to spice up the open world immersion and there's a chance you can recapture those fobs adding some flavor to them instead of a safe zone/travel point on the tacmap
This was my thought. This was my friends thought. This was everyone's thoughts except for the goddamn devs. Like for the longest I've wanted open worlds that don't get more and more empty. I want my actions to bring fleets after me not make then give up ya know. It's crazy no game I know does this
It would make the FOBs more interesting since the banished defensive barriers are still up so random raids would give us more a more reasons to be with the troops
These battles are phenomenal! Everything that I'd love to see more of in Halo. These Marines are incredibly competent, you can't get enough of seeing them gun down droves of Banished
It seems to me almost like Covenant/Banished are still using same old tactics whereas UNSC not only knows their tactics, but is taking advantage of that to devastating effect!
Amigos ingleses pero que youtube traduzca mi comentario pero yo creo que si hay posibilidad de que veamos eso si llega el spirit of fire o la eternity pero es desconocido a donde vaya este asunto
I wish you could sometimes get a notification that a FOB is under attack and you will have to fast travel to it, drop out of the pelican, and into the fight to save it.
8:04 I like how the marines jumped and landed on the same position and the same spot with that dead brute(He tried taking cover too didn't work out to well for him)
One thing I’d love to see for Marine AI in the future is target prioritization, marines with precision weapons will target enemies with their shields down, power weapon marines targeting vehicles and high ranking banished, etc. it’d really make them a force to be reckoned with (but maybe too powerful)
If I learned anything from the Halo Infinite Campaign, it's that a Razorback full of Marines with Arcane Sentinel beams don't mess around! In fact, these Marines don't mess around period!
The thing I notice about these battles is just how much more aggressive, varied, and intense the combat is here compared to something like Halo 3 matchups. The Elites have agility, the brutes have.... Brutality and melee, and Jackals have shields to make slow or static advances (Grunts just book it). Marines all know the range they can engage and do so accordingly, actually knowing when to nade and dodge one too. The armor decay, sound/visual effects, and reactions to things like getting melee'd or killed makes the battle that much more alive and desperate! However, stuff like Halo 3 still hold the upper hand of the ability for both sides to operate vehicles and the blood splatter that occurs from taking so many hits. But the issue of "same moves different appearance" between Halo 3 Brutes and Elites, and Halo 3 Human AI, really detracts from the infantry experience compared to here where each class knows has their quirk and strategy~
2:53 Marine beside that ramp be like "I have to go now, my people need me" Well.. no wonder they're a marine because they need you right now.. right there >->
Man, we need some ODST'S in a future expansion please. Also that 9ft brute who got melee'd by that marine LOL And that last elite did like 5 back flips or something
4:05 Me: "well done everyone, no doubt they'll be back in a couple of hours. Catch your breathe, tend to the wounded, and scavenge the area for weapons and ammo.
I'm glad to see the Marines are finally getting some love! I think it's okay to make them more powerful because we have to remember they don't have as much health as a ODST or Spartan.
This makes me want to see Spartans and odst fight along side you in infinite. It’s been to long since we’ve had odst and I really hope they’re added because they’ve been teased multiple times
The two marines asskicking that one brute by the bridge with two elites jus staring bewaffled in the background🤣 also that dude ontop of base who picked up his lady comrades sniper and fricking no scoped the brute walking up the ramp 👌 all the while Craig sits upon the tower and vibing to his newly recorded music tracks in his newly found headset, watching the havoc in the distance 🤟😎
Actually had some ideas to further expand on this type of gameplay. Like upgrading FOB's to have defenses to set up like manned turrets, barricades, auto turrets. Banished having their own styled FOB's, Marine and Banished constantly patrolling throughout the map. FOB's coming under random attacks from patrols and getting alerts of an incoming attack from enemy units (and vice versa for UNSC forces to either see a UNSC patrol stumble on a Banished FOB or sending units to a specific FOB). If you're out in the field, you can call in reinforcements, supply drops, air strikes, vehicle drop offs (warthog/tank, etc), air support. For a DLC, if another UNSC ship were to come into orbit, you can call in MAC strikes or ODST reinforcements. Enemy units depending on their regions/biomes could adapt to their surroundings. Say like both sides are in a snowy environment, UNSC would have white armor, Banished brutes would have something like white fur pelts and jackets, elites would have white armors. In a jungle or swamp biome, UNSC could have woodland Cammie's and Banished would wear like a netting of some sorts with mud, and tree bark, and grass formed into a hood/ghillie suit. In desert setting, UNSC would have desert Cammie's, and Banished have vehicles and equipment that looks like they came out of a mad max movie. Some ideas I just thought of to play around with.
The AIs in halo infinite are by far the smartest because they coordinated attacks, automatically pick up weapons that’s more effective, and if a grunt tries suicide mode a brute instantly pushes them for a slingshot tactic
Next in halo should be some kind of hybrid between halo wars and infinite. For the objective to be to capture and hold territory making use of whatever reinforcements the spirit of fire can spare, kind of like Assassins creed odyssey and its war between sparta and athens. And yes the spirit of fire should reinforce the chief cause its the only ship in the fleet with enough balls to accompany him on this new lawless galaxy
This makes me wish there was a tower defence kinda system where you'd need to defend your FOBs or lose it and have to capture it again. Maybe have banished captain's lead an assault on your FOB.
What if the High Value Targets led attacks on your FOBs if you didn't kill them after a certain point in the game. Or even if the HVTs showed up as bosses in the campaign, like in the House of Reckoning, if you didn't kill them before that point.
these are awesome. Just imagine a large scale mode that acts like planet side 2 or something on the campaign map with bots and the like. that'd be dope.
If you still are doing various vs. battles, you could always do Halo Wars themed battles of squads and units comps of that game. Ex. 2 Marine Squads vs. Banished snipers, Wraith, and an infantry squad.
I know it won't be easy and it will take a long time. But I'm hopeful they can improve the marines that they will also use the sandbags as cover while shooting
-That sniper rifle does work. -yes because I may not be able to accurately throw this grenade, but I can definitely throw a grunt holding 2 grenades accurately. - are there odst in this npc sandbox?
There are still ODSTs around just very small in number, I found it interesting though that their are still some around because they didn’t want to be Spartans.
The marines in halo infinite are my favorite from any marines we’ve ever seen. They’re funny, have cool looking armour, and are way smarter. That line of jackals was pretty scary too. Great job man 👍
They should have added some FOB siege tactics. Say if a Banished Patrol makes contact with a Fob (or Recon in Force if a patrol gets wiped out) it will trigger a Surge timer where the stronghold would begin a build up. Then it begins a siege where it will attack the Fob in waves. Have an Assault Commander as a target to break the siege and will attack in the last wave.
This what I wanted to see in Infinite whenever you fast travel to a fob to have some banished encounters to spice up the open world immersion and there's a chance you can recapture those fobs adding some flavor to them instead of a safe zone/travel point on the tacmap
