I’ve not been playing poker for too long, but I just encountered my first straight flush today online. I had K8 of spades in big blind, opponent limps and I raise, get called... Flop comes 7d 4s 2s. I’m out of position with a strong flush draw, I bet and get called. Turn is 6s. I nail the flush. I check & call a bet. River is a brick. I have the second nut flush, and hardly even consider much else. I bet river for value and opponent shoves all in. Hoping to see a weaker flush (no ace- spades, no ace-x spades, no ace-x spade please). Nope. 3s5s. Flush loses to straight flush. Never seen one live. They can really do some damage.

Brad, felt the same pain last week, not so much running into big hands, just better VALUE type hands. Closest local casino in SE Indiana just was allowed reopened poker, but is only 5 handed max. That really puts your short handed game to the text, having to expand your playing ranges. Then if the opponent has adjusted to wider ranges, seemed like i was always up against same range, just one upped on kicker. Love the fact you tried to stick it out when the 1st session wasn't going your way, it shows your fortitude. But, sometimes you need to just walk away. I was fortunate enough to visit the Seminole Hardrock in Feb for the WSOP while visiting my parents (from MI) and you are right - the place is amazing just as you said. Live poker isn't back here in MI but im hoping we're able to get action soon!
This is a great video. I don't often see guys posting videos about bad days like this. Its nice to see both sides from really good players like yourself.
My buddy and I did a poker road trip out there right before the pandemic started -- Started in Texas, ended in Florida. I really loved the Hard Rock. The only grievance I have is that the light pink $2 chips look very similar to the white $1 chips. Part of me thinks Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino did the on purpose knowing that poker players would occasionally accidentally overtip the dealers by $1 or $2.

Hey Brad, I used to live in Jacksonville FL, and I took several trips to the Hard Rock in Hollywood. That poker room is tough! Love watching amd playing every once and awhile.
Honestly you shouldn’t have been in after the flop in most of the pots you lost. I notice that about most of your blogs. Cut back on trying to make moves and watch your profits go up.
Thanks for the vlog Brad. Always enjoy your honest reporting. If you want to make a Vlog about non poker related stuff then I will still be a viewer. You know, moving on to more healthy and profitable things possibly. Your observations are funny. No need to just do poker.
when u play like this give yourself a penalty.
keep up the grind brad. been running bad myself this month. love the videos and I find you a big inspiration to how i’ve been progressing since I have been playing. stay safe 🙏🏻
i will never play poker in a casino again if this is how life has to be. this is ridiculous . its all BS wake up! go read a biology book!
Exactly. But most people believe whatever the MSM tells them no matter how suspect . A lot have become brainwashed by fear propaganda. Do not question anything. With lil common sense and some actual research it is all obvious .
jimlee420 FEAR= false evidence appearing real
are you guys doctors? Viroligists? Scientists? Didn’t think so
T Berg do i need to be a doctor or scientists to read and learn?? Your a complete moron!!!!
@@thumpmasterTRE you believe the CDC? They admitted plenty that Covid is not real.
Brad you a true professional and your videos are put together so well. I wish you nothing but the best in your poker travels.
Thats a quality intro brad. Longtime viewer, love the humour you inject into your videos!
Thanks for the video man. Really needed this today. Will get some sleep and tomorrow will be a better day for sure.
Welcome to “South Florida Poker” I honestly only thought 1/2 no limit was like that but seeing your 2/5 and 5/10 no hands yeah it’s just florida 😂😂😂 anywhere else i’ve played poker I have never seen anything like what you showed today and what i’ve seen personally absolutely crazy
@John Megahan You know for the longest time I really believe that, you saying it just confirms my theory 😂😂😂
That.... was hard to watch but you've earned my respect. I'm sure it was difficult to experience and TORTURE to relive, edit, and post! You're a man of integrity!
Rough trip. I enjoy your vlog tremendously. I was critical in one of your tourney vlog but I was being honest. I do root for you cus only a poker player knows what another poker player goes through. Keep the faith 🙏🏼
This is exactly what I was talking about in the other video. Regardless how good you are if luck isn't on your side there is no way you can win. You can only limit your losses.
Hey Brad, I used to live in Jacksonville FL, and I took several trips to the Hard Rock in Hollywood. That poker room is tough! I think the locals try to emulate Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi, since he hails from Hollywood FL. I had better luck at the Regency poker room in Jacksonville. I notice your friend Jonathan Little doing a lot of videos from there. Just my $.02. Anyway, I love your vlogs. Keep up the good work, and remember that playing poker is always a work-in-progress.
Glad to meet you there Brad. Willing to play that meet up game next time you are here.
As a floridian who plays at the Rock but also Vegas, the game at the Rock is unreal hard to beat, trips came in third was a clear sign to head to the pool thanks for showing a losing session Brad
Your not alone on the Seminole Hardrock luck. We have one in Tampa, and out of all the videos I’ve watched of yours, this video was the one I felt on a personal level when it came to Seminole hardrock luck lol
I live in fl. Hardrock is a hard place to win because theres to many amateurs who play any 2 and get lucky too often
Aloha Brad, I have been subbed for a while now and watch all your vids when I can. I am not a poker player in any way and still have no idea what the hell you are talking about but love watching your vlogs =) Your voice overs are the best!
That feeling when u see Brad posted a new video😊😊😊😊
This is me in 2020. Just absolute tiltsville. You were absolutely soul read in this session. You know you’re running bad when you hit 2 sets and you lose both hands. Set of 3’s I understand folding, but the set of 4s is brutal. Can’t play the hand any differently, because they hit the BDFD on you.
Lol, "stunning light show".
Watch "My Octopus Teacher" on netflix. You need to take a break and get in tune with nature. Will make your game and state of mind so much better.
