    A beautiful lesson shared in a beautiful way. I woke up anxious today and it got worse after watching the news. Your video touched me and reminded me that I am enough just as I am, flaws and all and I have so many. I feel a sense of calm now. Thank you Dr. Burns. I wish this video could be sent to everyone in the world today, perhaps in their dream?

    Great video, I don't know if I've said this before, but I think it would be cool if David & team promoted the app and this channel on big podcasts like he did with the books. I want to see the app grow and improve even more, more people need to know about it.

    Yes, but who is the "self" I am accepting? Can I just say over and over "I accept myself" or must it be more like a lightbulb moment? And how will I know I have accepted myself?

      Great, great questions! It's a lightbulb moment and not something you can force through repetition. You'll know you've found it because you'll be flooded with feelings of joy, liberation, and freedom from the traps of feeling like you're not good enough. I hope it comes to you soon, but you have to be patient. There will soon be a class on how to accept yourself in the Feeling Great app. best, david

    To me, it just doesn't feel as if I can just "decide" to love/accept myself. The non-loving/accepting thoughts come so automatically. Yes, it feels like I'm fighting it. How do I stop?

      You're right where you should be. The resistant voice in your mind, and in the minds of practically everyone, is powerful and persistent. You might want to check out the Acceptance Class, which we will soon be adding to the Feeling Great App. It has powerful exercises designed to help you fight that "yes, but..." voice in your mind. Thanks for your incredibly important comment!
      In addition, be patient with yourself, because acceptance nearly always takes some time and sometimes sneaks in a side door when you least expect it. Whenever it comes, it's fantastic! best, david
