After this video, catch up with the in-depth analysis on Bayonetta 3's ending and why it wasn't as bad as you thought: th-cam.com/video/nvQf0dRdR2M/w-d-xo.html
Something about Umbra witches, manipulators of time, finding a way to trap their biggest adversaries in a never ending time loop of defeat is honestly sick as hell
Jeanne instituting a intentional Stable Time Loop is pretty genius, as is the reveal of soul projection and how it relates to Bayo 3. Really impressed with how it all ties together.
When Jeanne used Soul Projection in Bayo Origins it instantly made a lot of things actually make sense, funny how that technique alone can tie a lot of stuff together and make it work.
I replayed the last 2 chapters of Bayonetta 3 after playing origins and they are a lot less messy than they previously felt. part of them are still iffy but they don't feel deplorable anymore.
I agree Bayonetta/Brave Cereza/Arch Eve Origin is alive aswell! Mostly because of the faerie light that you pointed out as she was getting dragged to hell. A quote from origins when the prince passed away, she thought to herself that she didn’t know where faerie souls went! (Bayonetta 4 Hype!)
yk what makes this game so fun and somewhat better is because the story really remains untouched and allows the story to flourish even further... making B3 THE spinoff. other than that, this further improves and even unravel(?) some of the training the umbra do when they are still younger. also, knowing demon masquerade was the forbidden technique really implies the severity of the situation for b3 and it isnt *just* a new gameplay mechanic!
Yeah agreed! Bayo 3 feels like the spinoff by comparison LMAO 🤣 but the resorting to Deadly Sin and Masquerading is such a weighty feeling in 3 that makes it feel so grand. The story in Origins is what 3 should have been: stands on its own and provides a satisfying beginning, middle, and end
@@georgelucas8815 thanks! Yeah I've been seeing people either not understand it at all or come up with completely incorrect conclusions (like Jeanne soul projecting throughout 3? Even if she was it didn't matter cuz her soul got absorbed but regardless she wasn't since we saw her body shatter) so I really wanted to clarify things for everyone
To be fair, people were hating on the tropes, not the plot itself, also the couple. If it was BayoJeanne instead and Bayo 1 and 2 weren't variants people would be a LOT LESS mad, with two simple changes.
Origins should've come out first. Most people who didn't like 3 probably didn't play origins. Don't blame the players, blame whoever decidied to block half the story behind a $60 price tag
There's also the possibility of each world and Bayonetta not necessarily being destroyed but shattered. In 3 there are Phenomenal remnants that based on the name seem to be remnants of universes that were destroyed by Singularity so what if there could be phenomenal remnants of the other Bayonettas and Jeannes.
So awesome I thought the same thing. The fact you peeped it too made me so happy. Love your videos and content and can't wait for more. Thank you johto for everything much love and many blessings.
I’m wondering if they’re possibly gonna pull a kingdom hearts 3 with this new info. I’m KH 3 they lose, and basically have a restart with the same knowledge of loosing. So now with Jeanne knowing this info, will this alter the timeline? The soul projection thing is a new ability intentionally introduced to use for later story stuff so for sure will be used somewhere.
I actually really enjoyed this video, along with how much it kinda makes me feel a bit better that really only arch Cereza died, but I just cant go back on my opinion on 3 tbh! I might actually finish Origins now, I love baby Jeanne
While not directly linked to the secret chapter, I'm immensely curious about the Umbran sigil that's on the back of the book in Origins (seen at the end of the credits), as it's unlike any we've seen before. The branches surrounding it probably represent Avalon, and after some brief research the symbol in the upper left circle seems to represent the concept of trinities. The lower right portion of the sigil is what I can't figure out. The only thing that comes to mind is that it's stylistically similar to the homunculi sigil, but it's definitely not an exact match.
Ugh how did I miss this! Love your videos 🥰 Bayo origins was suuuuch Ana amazing game and deff made 3 a bit more better for me! Real quick question tho, do you think they will make a Jeanne will in fact get a spin off due to the wording in Bayo Orgins speaks about her?
Hey! Thank you!!! 😊 yes I do think Jeanne will get a spinoff now that Platinum has begun splitting small teams to craft smaller titles. I imagine Jeannes will function similarly to a Persona game but with action combat
Ok look, So ive been into bayo lore since i watched a no commentary gameplay of bayo 1in middle school.... but Bayo 3 is the 1st game ive actually played so I think of Arch eve Origin is my bayo
@Alpha Zio my opinion is since all bayos came back to life, they took there demon back with them since they are technically contracted to them and Brave Cereza only had her 2 demon to choose from and she had used madama butterfly alot in chapter 13 so it made sense to used Gomorrah since he's been on break since chapter 12.
@@023338 Gomorrah is not reliable since in the beginning of the game he tried to kill her while she was doing the demon slave indicated by the red color Gomorrah had
While this sounds great for a future Bayonetta game, where does this leave viola? Would she still me in a mainline game or in a spinoff? Part of me wishes Platinum games would do something of a Dmc5 with cereza and jeanne with equal screen time and stages if viola is still the main character?
Kamiyah mentioned a Viola spinoff game after Bayonetta 3 released so it seems the plan was never to have her become the main character in the main series after all
I do have a question, when you finish the campaign with cereza, why did she do her hair like bayo 1? Then when you play jeannes chapter, her hair is like before or did jeanne chapter happen without cereza noticing then she did the updo?
As Derrick said, Jeanne’s chapter takes place during the events of the main campaign, not after. It seems to only effect the Arch Eve Origin timeline though
I watched it after releasing this. As per usual, he and I share a lot of similar analysis... though I do highly disagree with the theory that Jeanne was soul projecting during the entirety of 3 or that it would have even mattered since the outcome was still the same: her soul got absorbed by Singularity. RakunX's channel focuses more on theories more anyways so many of his videos have far more ideas presented within them than mine, while mine are analysis on what we feasibly have to work with. Luckily this gives variety to you guys who watch both of our channels
You said Jeanne survived the end of Bayonetta 3? How could she have been soul projecting after she lost her Umbran Watch? How do you sould project I'd your soul is all that's left of you? Surely the Faustian pact Umbran Witches make would allow them to just leave Hell on a whim.
Okay, I have a proposition on 2024 for Bayonetta’s 15th Anniversary. I want a Director’s Cut version of Bayonetta 3 where Helena Taylor will be voicing the Bayonettas from 1 and 2!
What confuses me is that by Jeanne defeating singularity in the past, does that negate what he does in the future or does it create another break in the timeline? So, like, origins Jeanne and Cereza grow up to be the “arch” baddies with no threat to their future because singularity got his ass beaten to death? Can he actually die or does he just go into hibernation for 500 years and try again? And I’m still puzzled as to how Cereza has ZERO memory of Cheshire… I know she’s old, but she held on to the fucking stuffed cat all this time.
This was him after the events of 3. As I said in the video, Jeanne accepting her fate and helping defeat him here solidifies him locked into an endless time loop, doomed to be repeated as it's now full circle. Very similar to Aesir and Balder from Bayo 1 and 2
