I heard Troy Ave on the radio talking this morning so I just looked him up on TH-cam and listened to my first Troy Ave song just now. Hmmm...Fantastic beats...disappointed how the women look.
Now my son would be mortified I now know who Troy is, and that I listened to one of his songs (he almost fainted recently when I said something was "lit." Ha!).
On the radio, it Seemed like Troy was in a bad place in the past and he is moving in a soulful and different direction. I was moved by his comments about growing as a person and trying to get away from the superficiality of his past life and the haters. Keep on moving and growing Troy and other rappers too. Come on men: aim high and NOT low. Stay with the righteous and move away from the haters and being haters yourselves, even if u might have been one in the past. Young black and white men look up to you and are influenced by your music (girls and women too).
