Since we are using Streaming table for capturing the records for inserts and updates, how do we load the data at very first time? Do we need to copy/insert the data by using Original table one time load and then create a task?

First time also you can read from stream. You should do stage table load after creating stream only

Yes you have to. That is the disadvantage of maintaining de-normalized tables with lots of columns.

The merge query will help to avoid insertion of duplicate records.
