GRATUITY OF ABIA PENSIONERS NOT NEGOTIABLE - NLC INSIST

Sometime ago, the Abia State government under Governor Alex Otti came out to say that it has defrayed the arrears of pension and gratuity owed Abia pensioners by the previous administration in the State, but in a related development, the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Abia State refuted the claim, stating clearly that what they received was only arrears of pension and not gratuity.
The Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Abia State, Comrade Okoro Ogbonnaya in a recent press briefing in Umuahia revealed the position of the organized Labour on the matter.
