Lol, so basically flamenco on a weirdly tuned 7-string, gotcha.
these two make an unlickely amazing combo
John is just on an another level when it comes to musicality and composing pieces man. The shapes he comes up with are just nuts, especially in their last album. He is not just a monster right hand
Very cool lesson, tyvm!
those pickups are doing well , we can hear all notes , great definition ...
Even though I myself lean towards the old school approach Henning speaks of, I will say this made me want to practice. Awesome video.
Love this lesson. I see all these djenty guitarists play crazy riffs, and my standard tuning self gets confused about how they learned these crazy chords and riffs in the first place. This kind of lesson really helps me to get a clearer idea of what they are doing!
I'm not a djent player, but I do like to use weird chords from time to time and I don't "know" any crazy chords, I just make them up by adding more notes to a root that works.
It's bring a smile to my face watching Henning play this style. Great stuff guys!
John Browne is the man. you did well Henning!
So much gain. JB is a great player
Those are fine ass guitars. Sound monsterous, too.
Great tones! Makes me want to bust out my JP13 7-string :D
Cool video, Henning is very patient and John seems very nice too, I like the attitude of both of these guys, always having fun first. That’s just the thing I surround myself with when it comes to playing music as well. I would never tolerate jamming with anyone who has a crappy attitude no matter how good of a player they are. Music is meant to be enjoyed 1st and foremost. If you take it too seriously, it’s not fun anymore. Peace from Chicago.
Watching Henning trying to figure this out makes me feel a little better about the hundreds of hours I've spent trying to learn Browne riffs, pulling my hair out
The Cimmerian sounds great on a seven
Hey man! Wonderful video with the both of you! I bought John Brown’s guitar Quatsi at his clinic in Stuttgart. Working on his playing style and get better every day. Should’ve asked more questions. Thanks for the video, Henning
Ah its all about hitting the strings djently
What have you unleashed? Can't wait to hear what you come up with your new techniques \m/
The outro song had some the best snare sounds in a while...
I like the fact that he said, "I can show you some big chords, but I can't tell you what they are" lol!
....out of the video topic....but I was just searching your TH-cam channel for videos about those Victory V4 preamp pedals. No reviews of them so far? Cheers from Brasil!!
Black Spirit 200 is a monster!
This clarity is due to the pickups placement mainly. Just get a merrow schecter and optionally BKPs and you’ll sound the same
Hurry I want to hear them.
Nice
This is a guitar in my sights is it worth the price. When you can get many other guitars for the price that have more features
0:13 "does he dent?"
That picking hand technique...
I thought my C G D G C D tuning was out there.
Thx to HP42 and awesome John Brown, the only thing John's explenation is little unclear so it makes it hard to understand at first, unless he plays it slowly,???slowlyyyyyyyyy
John teach him how to play "Doxa" lol!!
I need to experiment with more alternative tunings
I been playing 21 years and never experimented with alternative tunings. How long have you been slinging?
@@raycope754 7 or 8 years. I didn't really count so I can't tell. As of late, the only tuning I've experimented on other than the various drop and down tunings is Modal D (DADGAD) tuning.
whats song is he teaching him?
Greetings from American 😳😳😳😳
Is it me, or does John Brown seem to have a crick in the neck? Noticed he is a bit stiff when he turns to look over the side.
Lee G Yeah I have noticed this a long time. Price to pay for being a downstroke demigod.
Whats wrong with brownes neck?
Is this a song?
Are these John's personal guitars? I can't seem to find a juice burst qatsi with 2 knobs. Usually they only have a volume knob.
The 2nd
Sounds way too shrill. They should move that pickup further away from the saddles
hey HENNING ! how did you get POST MALONE from the past.. before he got his face tattooed ????
All dressed up.....and nowhere to go....
Welcome to Djent town where Mr. Browne shows you how to throw down.
Just not the Lufthansa way 🤬. Most freight carriers treat instruments like Rodney Dangerfield “No respect “
maybe they should have to listen to some Aretha Franklin? IDK
Where's this riff from?
@@valiantstudiostx Hmm no thats a totally different riff . couldnt hear it , they really like busy mixes makes it difficult to make out riffs without tabs
Max Cavalera on steroids
Not first
It sound be cool if you showed the tabs for this...
Browne’s literally showing what string and fret to play. Like, how lazy/incompetent could you be?
who are you think are? Ola? or that other swedish guy?
that black spirit amps sounds a little bad
it actually sounds really good, it could just be the mic setup and a lack of Eq
👍👀👌🎸
Jesus Christ Almighty... They couldn't pay me enough.
please next time 3 minutes of playing by Henning, and 99% by John Browne. Thank You :-)
Hmm... that would be 300 minutes (and that's only the playing, who knows how long the complete video would be), not even Henning would make something like that!
n0 djUnking...
Why is he djenting with post Malone
It is so frustating watching someone suffering like this..
How come john's guitar tone is so awesome and the sound that is coming from this guys guitar is literally making my ears bleed.
Don't like that Black Spirit tone. Too harsh, thin.
In this video is shown a perfect example why i really do not like gates!!!
It sounds so unnaturely!!!
Bettter to have noise and have full dinamic then this ugly cut offs
Sounds quite unpleasant. I can only assume that the amp is crap. Or your ears need cleaning.
Who came up with what has to be The most STUPID word this last 10 years ( DJENT ? ) WTF ?
it was just supposed to be a word used to describe the sound you get when you (over)mute the open strings and chug hard, its a very metallic sound if the tone is right
@@MrPinkStrat and the guys from meshuggah came up with it, just so you know
Eh...it kind of sounds like shit, guys.
So basically djent is making the guitar sounds as annoying and pretentious as posible
The gain is just way too high for what they’re playing. I’m assuming Browne didn’t dial in the tone.
John Browne is so far the only person I’ve heard make those black spirit amps sound good.
I've always had this problem with Hughes & Kettner amps. Every single time I saw a local metal band use H&K amps it sounded super harsh and spongy.
H&K can be really tight, which makes them quite harsh and string noisy.
A less gain as well es a high and low pass befor the amp can fix it. Either architects tempest, an EQ pedal, oder a boost/screamer that does the same.
With John it's the wood, pickups as well as his pick attack which benefits most high gain full chord tasks.
