My copy was dispatched on Friday, from a mile from my house then twice round the postal district then back again on Monday to put it through my letterbox.
One game I've found that's miles better on Taito handheld is Sensible Soccer on the Codemasters cart. The rounded D-Pad makes it much more controllable.
Micro Mages is more like Pico Mages, haha. Böbl and Spacegulls were worth the cart for me. Definitely a must have if you have multiple players on the VS though!
Great video CB. The chaos engine issue has been there since day one, I flagged it up to blaze. They told me I had a faulty cart and sent me a new one. The same issues persisted. Somewhere in the emulation is seems to accept multiple direction inputs as start. The issue seems to be far worse with the Super pockets D pad. I hope they sort it now. 👍
Cheers mate, I actually didn't know that. It clearly is worse on the pocket as the Dpad clicks in far too easily.. I think this also causes issues when reaching diagonals especially if you click in too hard.
@@CrazyBurger a central pivot on the D pad should eliminate this issue, or fix the emulation for it. It took them a long time for Blaze to sort out the Psycho Pinball post save sound glitch but they did it eventually. Now the game is superb, seems to run better than the megadrive original. 👏👏
Wow, the issue on Chaos Engine is unexpected! Why map pause to down in a SNES game? The SNES pad has more than enough buttons for Chaos Engine. I wonder if it worked like that on the original cart or if it´s an error in the emulation. The CD32 version sure doesn´t pause when you move downwards. Edit: I´ve read the other comments, makes sense it´s emulation.
I wonder if you can help me. I'm considering getting the Evercade EXP but can't seem to find a way to play Bubble Bobble on it? There doesn't seem to be a cartridge with Bubble Bobble. Thanks in advance
Bubble Bobble isn't on Evercade systems. However you can play it on the Taito Super Pocket. Game is built in. These devices have the added ability to play Evercade Carts. Due to odd licensing Taito and Capcom don't want their games on official carts.
Pinball is fantastic but it's better if you can remap the controls. Night Stalker is really good fun but it can go on forever. Thunder Castle has a lot more going on, one of my favorites on the system. Buzz Bombers is probably the best INTV game on collection 1 if you understand the complex rules.
Between Shark Shark, Thin Ice, Pinball, Thunder Castle, Buzz Bombers, Princess Quest, and Night Stalker, INTV is essential for me, but it's better on Evercade for sure.
I have found that two of my carts, Mega Cat 2 and Morphcat 1, are not recognised by the Super Pocket at all. It says there is no cartridge inserted. Both work fine on my EXP and VS.
Blaze dispatched my Renovation collection on Friday via recorded delivery which considering I live about a mile away from their operation seems a bit inefficient. They could have popped it through my letterbox cheaper.
@@adams213 I only found out this morning when I saw the ad for the Super Pocket was filmed in the town centre, I saw it and thought: "hang on a minute"... I am going to mail them to see if I can just buy direct and do walk in collection, and who knows? Maybe pick up some cheap ex-stock stuff. I'm not adverse to a bit of reseller action.
I recently got my Taito Super Pocket and it has a ton of issues: lightbleeding on the left edge of the screen, diagonal input is off (mostly noticable on topdown games like Kiki Kaikai), Elevator Action doesn’t start if a certain nummer of coins are inserted, New Zealand Story once gave a insert coin error, Bon Boko Bon sound’s off in the boss stage. I’m losing my faith in the product all together. Any one else had issues like this?
@@CrazyBurger The phrases are fine. I'm just saying that it highlights how many of these collections are subpar. I own them all because I can't help myself. These videos are great btw, very helpful.
@@nearvanaman lol ah.. yeah. Unfortunately despite there being a lot of good games on Evercade, there's also a ton of very average games and some really bad choices. Even on Renovation we have the absolutely awful Beast Wrestler.. but some people actually enjoy it. It would be interesting to look at the % of good games v bad.. my guess would be that it might be 50/50.
@@CrazyBurger I often say to myself, "self, would you prefer if there was just 4 good games on a cart, or 10 games that included 6 mediocre to poor games". While we lament the value of some of these carts, people tend to be positive about the single or two game carts when the games are really good. Maybe too many games that most are not interested in is just clutter.
@@nearvanaman Quite true.. there's very few carts where every game is excellent. Gaelco Arcade 1 was superb.. though snowboarding was probably pretty weak.
Renovation is so nice, I'd buy it twice! 😉

Renovation is a top 5 cart for sure.
Aw man, but Gaiares is way way better than Sol Deace/Feace.
@@KeenRetroGames lol is it? I dunno. I'm probably not best placed to make that judgement.

Interesting.. I felt the sprites were a bit small..
Brain Bender is super hard but really good once you get how it works.

Thought i was only one with that problem of chaos engine. Problem is only at super pocket. Played a little on exp no problem with it
It's a weird issue.. only made worse that that Super Pocket Dpad pushes in very easily

Thank you @@CrazyBurger The Taito Super Pocket is where I saw Bubble Bobble available. A real shame it's only there!
A video about evercard cart storage would be great. They dont fit in cd or dvd racka, look tiny in a book shelf. So hard to display.
My best advice is the Billy Bookcase from IKEA. Fits perfectly.
Frog Bog is a ton of fun with two players if one or both is either a child or drunk. But not both.
Intellivision games just control funny. I have played enough Astrosmash for one lifetime and change.
Pinball is fantastic but it's better if you can remap the controls.

The Duke Nukem carts are getting a lot of hype will you be reviewing?
Definitely. Just don't have them yet. Hopefully get them tomorrow. Most of the early reviews you will have seen are channels that get them for free.

I bet the person in charge of mailing it out to you said the exact same, dude coulda just walked here, pretty inefficient 😂

Lol they probably didn't even look
Blaze don't send stuff out funstock do and they have a couple of warehouses one in the northwest and one down south.

Funstock's "down south" facility has the same address as Blaze, so no biggy. 😉
It's a shame about the mega drive versions on the Bitmap Brothers cart. Even the ST versions would be better options.
