It's a little easier when you see the opponent walking towards you a split second before doing the motion. I don't think anybody can constantly hit confirm a shoto CR.MK if the opponent gets hit while still being crouching.
Unless there's there some sort of trick I never heard of, there's no way of hit confirming kens CR Mk into srk. Into super yes. That one i do somewhat consistently. Into srk, whole different matter sińce you need to cancel the move late. I think Deshiken just takes risk vs reward, especially against a Chun with no meter and can't dish out that much damage if Deshi gets blocked. It't how you play vs Chun right cuz when she gett that meter and she's CR Mk distance away from you, it's either confirm into sa2, or karathrow. Ken basically has to block all day or jump, especially in the corner.

Hit confirming is a basic concept.
Hit confirming Kens c.MK is something else entirely. C.mp is so much easier in comparison.
