I can’t believe they just showed them guys on video with loaded guns right on the side of the road at around the 1:40 mark. I got ticketed by a federal game warden at panther swamp for having cartridges in my rifle magazine (rifle was unloaded mind you) while sitting in a side by side eating my lunch. Gun was in the back, side by side was 100 feet off the road parked at the edge of the wood line because they won’t let you take vehicles of any kind past the wood line. I wasn’t hunting anything. I was eating a sandwich, gun unloaded, sitting in the back, but because I had my magazine in my rifle, I was ticketed for hunting from a right-of-way. The guys in this MDWFP made video actually had their guns loaded 5 ft off the road actively hunting. Moral of the story, federal game wardens aren’t out to protect wildlife resources, they are out to write tickets. They don’t care about the intent of the law only about writing tickets.
@@duck-fil-a3606 Your comment stated you were in a side by side. Why were you ready to kill a deer, while not hunting deer, but eating a sandwich from a motor vehicle. To answer your question, I have killed 3 deer without my rifle chambered or even in the car for that matter. All from the driver's seat of the vehicle.
@@coldandaloof7166 you’re a dam liar. You’re not going to fire a round from a rifle without a round in the chamber. That’s how guns work podnuh. You pull the trigger and the firing pin impacts the primer on the cartridge, igniting the gun powder and firing the projectile through the barrel of the gun. My comment stated that the rifle was unloaded sitting in the back of a vehicle that I was sitting in the front of. The people in this video blatantly had actually loaded firearms on the right-of-way. Like I said. Game wardens don’t care about the resources they’re paid to protect. They have a ticket quota to meet and that’s what they’re there to do. Game warden basically said I’m here to chew bubble gum and write tickets and I’m all out of gum.
Guys don't like hunting woodcock because it's usually in nasty stuff for walking/moving through.....most guys are lazy.

If your magazine was loaded your gun WAS loaded. Chambered and loaded are 2 different things in my state.
