i thought learning, practicing with the Steadtler calligraphy set would give me an easier time of it. Not having to reload a nib. But it has proven to be so useless. The ink never flows. I shake, rinse and wip to try get it going. Is this typical to this cartridge's pens? Or should the ink flow. The pilots pens are great.

With one exception, all of the cartridge pens I have used have had flow problems: Shaeffer, Osmiroid, Platignum, Rotring. The only exception is the Pilot Parallel pen.
