I met Joey at a restaurant in Orlando several years ago. He was so gracious when I approached him about a picture. He then came over to the table and talked to us for a bit. He could not have been any nicer.
I never thought I'd enjoy an interview with any 90s boy band member,as I wasn't a fan of them, but he seems like a humble, grounded guy with some good stories from the time and I really did enjoy hearing from him.
Joeys completely different than any other boy band member I know, him and Chris are my favorites from *Nsync, they’re the only boy group i ever really liked at their time.
I had the opportunity to meet Joey at our Children's Gala when he MC'd. I told him how I had a Joey Fatone Action Figure (Doll) when I was growing up because he was my favorite. I thought he would react differently to that, but he smiled, said "That's awesome, dude!" and then hugged me. My wife and I got a picture with him. Very stand up guy.
Sounds stupid 😂 I don't know what's worse. The fact that you had a doll of him, that you liked nsync or that you actually told him and us about it. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Yuck
Jesus, some really cool people on this thread. Hey man, good on you for sharing an experience that was positive for ya. These are the things that keep us going.
I was a HUGE *NSYNC fan. But too young to understand anything besides I loved them lol. There was no social media. So you got to know them by magazines, tv performances and brief interviews. So hearing him talk about all of this was so much fun. ❤
Joey is such an awesome dude. I met him at a Comic Con years ago, no one was at his booth aside form me and one other woman - both in Star Trek uniforms. Joey sat there and talked Star Trek with us for a solid 20 minutes. It was awesome as a girl who grew up in the 90's loving boy bands to meet a guy from one of those groups who was so down to earth and genuine.
This should be a great interview…just starting it now. Joey is a legit dude! By chance, we ran into him at Epcot while on our honeymoon and he was so chill and down to Earth. Mad respect for him.
Was never an *NSYNC fan (BSB all the way 😂), but I just adore Joey. I’ve been around him multiple times- once for an extended period of time- and he’s just so chill and funny. He’s just great to be around. Thanks for the props to my Hanson fellas!!
Such a great episode! Thank you so much for this! I have loved *NSYNC since the Disney concert. I was never able to see them live, then meet Joey at a Con in December...he is such an amazingly nice guy!
He is so cool and hilarious, I love how he can reflect and make fun of himself back then but really kept it together in life. Glad to see him doing so well!
Joey and Chris have always seemed so humble and chill as fuck to me. I was a HUGE Nsync girly when I was a teen, had them and Justin posters (sorry lol) plastered all over my room. Went to a concert, lost my voice for a week from losing my god damn mind screaming LOL But, now that Im older I think Joey and Chris were actually the coolest members of Nsync, no offence to Jc or Lance tho lol. This was a great episode XD
@RoxieParadox Lance is one of the nicest guys to his fans. Loved when I got to meet him. We share the same birth month & it was few days away from his bday, so wished him a happy birthday. Love him. He’s great.
Sorry, but you're not an NSYNC fan if you speak ill about the frontman. The band was nothing without Justin. That's why he's the most successful one. I'm sure they love hearing toy fake fans talk shit about their brother too. Go follow Britney's lying, crazy af, so crazy she had her kids taken away, ass. Cause You aren't shit here.
It’s funny I met skinny Vinny in jail in CT he got out of jail moved to LA got clean and got in with the jsckass crew and now he does podcast with Steve o talk about making nothing into something all within 4 years congrats my guy
Honestly back in the day Joey wasn't my favorite guy from NSYNC because he wasn't really showcased he was just a background member but after the band stopped doing stuff and he did all his other projects I started to love him. I've been watching him perform at Disney the last few years and he's so good!
This podcast episode was my favorite 😍 bring Joey back!!! He was really into it and was willing to talk about things you could tell he really match the rooms energy and he’s really funny 😂
Steve-O, been a fan forever. In my opinion, you are doing your best work now. I'm older than you so I can say, "I'm proud of you". Best interview yet and I don't know anything about Joey.... He is a bro.

I loved this so much. Ive never seen or heard Joey just shoot the shit before and i am so impressed. What a genuinely awesome dude. Thanks so much ❤ also side note. Love you Steve-o!
This episode is INCREDIBLE! I was in 7th grade when *NSYNCS “no strings attached” dropped, EVERY GIRL wanted a piece of them! The stratosphere of success they transcended into at that moment in time is still rarely ever been seen! Joey is a stand up dude & I love how he curses a lot & talks normal in my opinion 😁
I remember being at the LA show for Justin’s solo tour. This was in June 2003. Fatone was there, and was on stage to tell the fans that *NSYNC will be back. It took a couple of decades. 😂
Bro.. I'm a 40 year old guy... Who was not a fan of boy bands back in the day.. May have even called them ugly names.. In a joking way.. Yet I enjoyed this podcast more than any other I've heard in the past year probably..
Steve-O's story about Kanyon sent me down to Google to find out more about this wrestler. Sadly I discovered he passed away in 2010, it's nice that Steve-O had a good story of how someone long since passed affected his life for the positive.
Where did Steve-O get those glasses? I know I lost a pair in Southern California or Colorado and miss them. They're industry insider frames, in fact. I got them from a friend who's in optometry while she was at an industry trade show.
I purchased tickets years back when he was a part of the Rock of Ages musical in Vegas cause I love the show, but also because he was in the cast & the week that I went to see it, he was on vacation & not in the show that week. I was really bummed. The next time I had an opportunity to see him, he briefly walked through the crowd of the NSYNC pop-up shop in LA, so I got to see a glimpse, but didn’t get to meet him. I did get to meet Lance, who was there, when I found out he was going to be at a drag show the night I was there for the pop-up shop. It was so cool to see him & I got to meet, talk to & get a couple pics with Lance, who I had a teen crush on. My teen dream came true to get to meet him. He was so nice. I hope to get to meet Joey, Chris &/or JC one day. That would be so awesome.
Wise words from Chris Kanyon. Such a sad story, but so true. He’s not here anymore, so we can’t ask him for his autograph. But his presence is still felt!
Joey 💜(Nsync fan 4eva). He is the sweetest man ever, ive met him like 5 times and he has always been just adorable. (He even one time at the radio station defended me from one of his friends, that was annoyed that i was talking to joey and wanted me to go away - joey told him not to be rude and that i was his fans). Just the sweetest, best heart ❤❤❤
This was a very good episode. I was not a super fan, but if you want to be around pretty girls, you hear the songs pretty girls listen to. And now, at 35, I can sing N*Sync songs from memory. Comes in handy at Karaoke or in a late night Call of Duty lobby with some other old people.

*NSYNC was great. They had excellent harmonies and wrote a significant amount of their music.
