You only see these upsets in US competitions. Clearly was big difference is content and level of difficulty. The crew on the right wouldn’t even get past top 16 in an international competition.
@katrashis that’s the perception international bboys have on the American bboy scene now. The stereotype that American bboys have now is that they have good fundamentals but they are stuck with the 80s mentality of everyone needs to use basic footwork and fundamentals but they don’t really advance past that. Yes there’s exceptions but overall the level of difficulty and dynamics American bboys do compared to say, Russian, French, Korean, Japanese bboys do is why American bboys have gotten that stereotype. It’s why you don’t see a lot of American crews make waves internationally. You can have 1-2 members be at elite level but the rest of their members aren’t at that level like korea Japan Russia. If America started embarrassing other styles and ways to approach bboying you would start seeing more American crews go international
Damn, MZK didn't do enough to take that. More funk, not enough content to overcome the difference in dynamics. I also though Alvin at least rocked the beat better.
Thank you for doing this and spreading my favorite culture!
request; edit the post, please add names to MZK
The freeze with after thread is one of Reveal’s (Rock Force Crew:Killafornia) signature btw
