  • Summary:
Unitarian Universalist principles strongly emphasize the inherent worth and dignity of every individual. Ethan Milner will draw upon his more than twenty years of experience as a social worker and therapist to show us ways to more fully live our UU values by learning more about the spectrum of experiences, from Autism to ADHD, that are referred to as Neurodiversity, and about how we might promote greater understanding and acceptance of these experiences.
The speaker will introduce some of his personal experiences both as a family member and professional, and discuss how some of the myths and misconceptions related to Neurodiversity can be harmful.
We will see how the principle of compassion, justice, and equity can be applied to help neurodiverse individuals reduce the need to mask in favor of being their full selves.
