  • The new Model 110 Elite Precision has every upgrade offered from the Savage Arms factory, all in an effort to create a rifle that suits everyone from a serious competitive shooter to the casual rifleman. Key upgrades include a blueprinted action with a stainless-steel match barrel that sits in a Modular Driven Technologies (MDT) Adjustable Core Competition (ACC) chassis.
Savage squared the receiver face and cleaned up the receiver threads to ensure they’re concentric with the barrel’s bore. This combination goes a long way in eliminating the occasional flyer that can ruin a good group or cause a miss in a match.
Dropping this barreled action into the MDT ACC was also a wise decision because it allows for easy fitting of the rifle to its shooter. This reduces shooter fatigue and increases a shooter’s comfort, especially when the rifle recoils.
The chassis adjusts for length of pull, but also allows for changing the height of the buttpad. When shooting in the prone, raising the buttpad 2 inches increases surface area contact between the rifle and shooter significantly. This greatly reduced felt recoil during Guns & Ammo’s evaluation and made our long-range session more comfortable.
The long forend features a Swiss ARCA rail that’s machined along its length. The ARCA rail is popular with the most serious precision shooters and allows for rapid repositioning of the bipod or tripod. When moving from one shooting position to another, this feature saves considerable time.
Finally, the chassis accepts the highly desirable AICS-pattern magazines. These magazines are ubiquitous, come in five- and 10-round capacities, and have both polymer and metal models available. AICS-pattern mags are the most reliable and inexpensive way to feed any bolt-action rifle.

I chose to watch this video over others because I saw the name Guns and Ammo. Instead of a proper review, all I got was a sales pitch as another viewer said. Why insult us with 'reviews' like this?

Agreed it’s why I let my subscription slip .if I wanted a sales pitch I would go to savages website. I really can’t trust Guns and ammo anymore.

My Rifle In .308, Shoots 1/4 Inch Groups (5 Shots) At 100 Yards... Iam Running The PA 3-18x50 HUD DMR Scope... I Can Easyly Hit A 36x20 Steel Plate At 1000 Yards With No Problem, It's Well Worth The Money...

Regarding your description of a blue printed action. That would be accurate for most rifles, but not for a Savage 110. The barrel doesn't come back & butt against the receiver. The barrel screws in & then the barrel nut tightens against the receiver. Unless the receiver is grossly off (doubtful) I'd think there would be no benefit in this. There woruld be enough slop in the combination of barrel, receiver & barrel nut threads to allow for slight misalignment.

I cant speak for anyone elses rifle. However for my Savage 110 Elite 300 PRC.. mine shoot 1 hole at 100 yards and five shots in a inch bullseye at 600 yards. I also shot it recently in the KING of 1 MILE and hit all my targets.Previously out to 1943yds at another match in Kansas. So I have to really applaud Savage in the 110 Elite. The Savage 112 Action is also a real nice rifle.

Mine in 300 prc couldn't stay on an 8.5x11 piece of paper at 100 yds. With tuned loads, and , I finally got it to stay in a 6" circle. Completely worthless experience. My advice: Don't chance it.

Savage 110 elite precission. 308 and today 8.18.22 was my first day when I tested it. It was shooting all over the place!!! Not even one close group. I had 6 different brands of ammo to test them. Zero Compromise 527 scope and Spuhr 6602 mount. Me and my friend were scratching our heads what the hell is happening here. Hmmm... :/

    • @stevendavis8642

looks like the brake Savage mates to the 6.5 style - if so, it's matched to that particular barrel and secured by reverse-threaded jam nut. Tthe barrel will NOT accept any other brake.

Yes, if you wanted to hit someone 200-1500 yards away. If you wanted a true "battle" rifle I would pick up an AR10 in .308. You can then run a red dot with a 5X amplifier flip up in front of your red dot...

Honestly people are freaks when it comes to "prs" stuff. Personally a 1 inch group at 300 yards is amazing. People shooting over 1000 yards are just showing off lol. Effectiveness of most bullets after 1500 yards is not good. That's why military uses the 50bmg is to keep ballistics decent at that range. I never plan to hunt at over 2 or 300 yards.

So you are saying that a FLYER is from an uneven contact between the Action/barrel make up? So it was contacting good on the previous 19 bullseye out of a box of 20.And then that one flyer was it suddenly got bad..BULLSHIT.
That flyer is usually a bad load or neck tension. If the barre/& action make up is bad its always bad.IT will shoot differently due to heat& Pressure.
I agree a Blue printed action and a bedded stock and a free floating barrel all make the gun shoot better. But an occasional flyer from a bad action/barrel make up I just dont buy.
I shoot every day and a bunch of different calibers and in compete..So throw that SALES Pitch some where else..

Sad as fuck savage is not making this in 6.5prc , 26 Nosler, 28 Nosler , 30 Nosler, 300 prc , Its not fucking difficult for them to run a freaking reamer with a different cartridge on it through so many barrel's . No reason to not have this in atleast 30 calibers and them ream them as people buy them.
