Especially when they know I’m struggling on that certain subject. If I was struggling and told them, why are they even asking me when I’m clearly not doing well in the subject in the first place. That’s what makes parent everning so awkward sometimes. 😒😖
How is a handshake mean anything? Sometimes I feel awkward incase I squeeze too hard or light and I get judged so these days I usually resort to fist bumps instead
gun way well no, it is emphasised because right hand should be the general course of action majority of the time. It is not a matter of “choose whichever hand you are comfortable with” because that can make for one weird ass handshake.
I'm going to assume ur not British. Because this was a teacher, he had to have a level of professionalism. He wasn't being intimidating (or at least not trying to be) he was just being assertive and pointing out facts to lay off Stefan a bit. If it was on the streets, it would've definitely been intimidating and no elegant language would've been used
he's doing what he's doing for his family to provide them for clothes, school, and food that's literally what every brother would do in the real world I mean Jamie has no parents and their parents told Jamie to make a promise to take care of his brothers and he's doing a great job in fulfilling that any little brother would appreciate what Jamie is doing unfortunately Sully took his life and Stefan is already in a dark place before Jamie's life was taken I'm sure in the next top boy seasons Stefan will avenge him
What are you on about Jamie stood up for his lil bro instead of most parents who just instantly believe the teacher when they say their kid isnt putting in effort

Research consistently shows that a major positive influence in children's school experience is the quality of the relationship they have with teachers; teachers whom they feel genuinely like them. There are teachers who just don't like children; the children suffer and so do the teachers.
I wish more parents acted like this, some are so quick to believe teachers and blame the child like its their fault they aren't doing good in school without looking into it any further
Best way too connect with children is too make subjects fun and interesting, when a teacher just writes on a chalk board and tell you too copy kids are just gonna throw stuff about the room lol
When I was younger I was in a class and the teacher was late, the whole class was playing up. I stood outside as i didn't want to participate and get in trouble. He gave the whole class detention including me even after seeing me stand outside before he endered the room. My sister came up the school to challenge that decision, the deputy head agreed with the teacher. From that day forward at school if they were going to give me a detention for doing nothing I would give them a reason to give me detention. How the big brother acted in this scene is exactly how I will be with my own kids. I have already called the lunch staff and teacher out for letting something slide with my eldest after the 3rd time it happened, funnily enough the problem never happened to my son again.

I think it's wrong of the school system to expect young people who are 14 or 15 years old to know what to do when they finish school and are forced into work experience especially since school encourages students not to make their own decisions and are conditioned to do as they are told. I remember when I was in year 11 this teacher was going round the class asking students what they were going to do once they finished school and most said sixth form, when he came to ask this one student he asked him "what are you going to do?" the student replied "I don't know" then the teacher said "well I better start researching because I'll be worried if I was your dad" School in my experience was a very Orwellian environment. For example when I was at school you had to go to assembly once a week and listen to a head of year talk about a subject, school can be a very authoritarian environment as you have to wear a uniform and attend lessons. I also believe school encourages people to be subservient employees as you have to follow strict rules such as meeting deadlines with homework because if you miss a deadline you get detention and you also have 40 minute lunch breaks and having to listen to prefects who don't let you through certain areas of the school telling you you have to go round. you also have to go to school by law. Basically school is a place to teach you how to be a worker for an employer as you learn about deadlines and time keeping, and you learn about different personalities. You do learn useful things at school but I think if it was up to me I would make philosophy and psychology part of the curriculum. The reason being as it encourages deep thinking which I think people lack in this day and age. Problem is when people leave school they don't continue educating themselves because the school system teaches by lecturing and forcing students to read topics they are not interested in because school teaches in a very authoritarian way and in an uninspiring way. Most people would rather talk about the weather or what's on TV. I personally would rather talk about philosophy or psychology. I remember I had an arrogant geography teacher who said "we are not going to leave until Mark smiles for us" I smile slightly then the teacher said "I think I saw a slight grin" then he let the class leave. I also remember in a math's lesson the teacher told me off in front of the entire class because I was ten minutes late to a lesson. Sorry if this comment is too long it's just I very rarely get the opportunity to express myself.
