I am really impressed with the VAs in this Abridged Dub. It reminds me of Team Four Star's Abridged Dub, in that the voices and editing fit so well that I would actually consider YOUR voices to be the originals. I will definitely keep watching, keep it up!

Oh, the voices are good! I enjoyed this a lot! I thank TH-cam recommendations for leading me here. It recommended me a recent video about the latest _RWBY: ABRG_ (as well as a VR vid and comic dub), so I just had to check this out from the start!! :D
The acting is really good don't get me wrong the only issue is that this doesn't feel like a abridge version it kinda just feels like a voice over on the original.
A couple of people have voiced similar concerns. We are currently experimenting to see what works and what doesn't, but I believe Episode 2 will have the differences you are looking for.
Haha, I really enjoyed that. The humor was subtle in places and at no point did it feel like anyone was too out of character, just great parodies of themselves. Though my favorite little bit has to be Ruby's 'swear jar' line. Really hoping that's a running joke!
I just watched the first three minutes of this and I got to say that this is much better then the original. You took out all the unnecessary parts and dialogue and yet still make this a proper prologue with all the right humorous lines. Well done.

Two things I noticed going back this early in the series; 1. Cinder and Glynda's Semblances were much more powerful than they would be later 2. The Moon is totally broken while later its only partially fractured.
Honestly, the level of effort I see is amazing. It's clear that everyone involved loves RWBY so much. This abridged is clearly going to be a lot harder than anything tfs may do that doesn't involve massive edits like we've seen kaiserneko curse about in an episode breakdown. I'd imagine the editor listening to everyone's lines and touching up the audio files to keep things consistent and manageable. You could've been lazy, but you chose a much harder method. I may be wrong, but I'd love to hear more about the editing process for this video. Okay, I'm primarily curious about how you managed to handle the dialogue so well.

KRWBY Productions Oh, like slightly altering their lips so you can make the dialogue look smoother? We went from dbza level lip flaps to Hellsing level with that. Considering how RWBY is animated, this must be very difficult. I truly commend you, I would not have the patience for that... Yet I somehow have the patience to powerscale DBS and explain that to someone who thought Goku was another word for Gogurt.
When I need extra syllables for a line, I either duplicate the lip flaps in the scene or paste lip flaps from another scene over the character's mouth. To do this, I either duplicate the clip I need the flaps from and place the duplicate on top of the original. I then crop the duplicate so that only the moving mouth is visible, lower the opacity, and position the mouth over the original mouth. I then chop the clip with the new mouth into individual frames, zoom in, and use position and rotation to match each frame with the new mouth up to the old mouth so the new mouth follows the character's head movements. I then raise the opacity back to 100% so that the old mouth is no longer visible, and presto! Instant lip flap replacement. I'm surprised TFS and Something Witty don't use the same technique. It's *much* faster than drawing individual lip flaps.
