Still out there, giving their fans the best they've got. I greatly appreciate Banks, Collins and Rutherford. To those who are making cracks about old age - guess what, we don't remain 30 forever. Collins is making the huge effort it must take for him to perform, even if he has to sit down to do it. RESPECT.

One of the best drummers who ever beat on a drum, hands down! I liked his drumming even better than the guy from RUSH. You could always tell it was Phil on drums, he just had his own style. And it was fantastic.
He has major cervical spine problems, had surgery & suffers with neuropathy/nerve damage in his arms/hands, also had a fall leaving him needing a walking stick. Sadly no longer able to drum 🙁, his son is drumming during this final tour…

Phil always exuded energy, talent and creativity on stage for decades, from his youth. Now his retirement has come, his life marked ours, of several generations... thanks for everything Phil, give your body and soul to music, rock, pop, many experiences and good times. I read some amateur journalists writing reviews about it saying like “a melancolic ending for a once great band”. Detail: the dude didn’t even went to see the show. These concerts were all but melancholic. What a great band… they put out great concerts wherever they played. They will be missed.
Of course it's melancholic...Phil is in a reduced state. He's giving the best he's got, but this very far away from the 2007 reunion. You'd have to be deaf not to notice his lousy tone, he's flat. It's not great, I would not pay to see this, it's just cruel to Genesis' legacy. Limping along at the end.
People are just extremely miserable these days and thrive on negativity. Don't let it get to you. Used to be you'd turn into a grumpy old man at like age 70-80. Now it's gone down to late 20's early 30's.
It’s sad to see his decline. Unfortunately it’s life and the older we get, the harder singing becomes. Not to mention touring takes its own toll. My utmost respect to all musicians who have given so much joy to us over the years. The sacrifices in their personal lives can be immense. Music is such a healing force and God bless them. I wish him a life of peace and joy…it’s his time now!
It IS sad. I'm shocked to see how bad he looks here. I mean, he was only like 72 here but he looks like he's in his late 80's. We should also face the reality that he's kind of lost it at this point. He wasn't horrible. But his voice was nowhere near what it used to be. I've loved his music ever since I was in college in the '80's. It was kind of heartbreaking to see him like this at what was his final concert.
kind words...alcohol ruins the lungs and not a lot of people are aware of that fact....grew up with genesis and they influenced my thoughts and many words.. Real peace and joy are aspects of our lives related to people who see and experience God so hopefully he has.

I love how in this footage it's like the musicians and singers are all rallying around Phil to lift him up, very fitting for the song. This may be the most poignant moment from the footage I've seen from this whole tour, I didn't get to attend (Steve Hackett is the only Genesis member I've had the pleasure of seeing live) but I'm glad these guys got to go out and do the thing one last time. With Peter in attendance no less! Class acts, all of them!

Yes, I'm sure that you enjoyed the trappings of such stardom and the riches that came with it, but you see here that it doesn't come for free, the Ferryman will come for his payment eventually.
