  • Today is going to be the most fun podcast! We answered a listener question who asked “Throughout your many years of working on residential projects, how do you see family portraits fitting into your interior design?” We have discovered that we have some pretty strong opinions on this. We all grew up in a time when mothers only decorated in family photos and didn’t bother so much with other decorations. Join us today in hearing our design advice for displaying family photos!

“I also really think that things are pretty if they’re in a slim wood frame, or in a beautiful silver frame, or like a ‘gilver.’ Golds are fickle, they kind of come and go, but that’s what I love about the crystal. It’s just so everlasting and it does disappear and will get along with the other ones if you’re really gonna layer it up.” 29:20

Love the podcast! My only critique is Suzanne’s use of “ghetto neighborhood” in LA followed by Mexican/Asian owner. While I don’t know Suzanne personally, I’m speaking clearly on choice of words on a podcast that all different countries listen to .. maybe a more accurate description is working class neighborhood, ethnic community, corner store in the city.. I just don’t think calling where people live a “ghetto” when you are not part of that community in a public platform is cool. I did enjoy the conversation tho…

Agreed, it's derogatory and I suspect not even an appropriate description. Does she mean low-income? Ethnically diverse? Both? Took me aback to hear it on a professional podcast.

White women turning a two minute answer into a 30 minute podcast that doesn’t actually answer the question. Thanks for nothing.

😂you guys - I think we all have those crazy funny pics! So relatable ❤Also I don’t find anything offensive about Suz talking about her own childhood experiences and memories- anyone that has listened to her at all knows she didn’t mean anything offensive ❤
