Not sure why, but I've gotten that crazy orientation without the Deku smash just by playing Splitscreen often. Idk, sometimes when reviving or getting knocked leads to walking sideways and upsidedown
Splitscreen always has the weirdest glitches, I'm not surprised

This season has literally been the buggiest and glitchiest season in Fortnite history. Most of the biggest issues (hurdling) still haven’t been fixed. They just remove it from the game entirely or nerf it to the point where the item isn’t very helpful anymore.

I did this to an opponent without knowing it was a glitch, it works if they use smash then hammer aswell, as long as the smash doesn’t power up fully

This happened to me a few days ago. It was an enemy that hit me with the hammer and I tried to deku smash him but my orientation got so cursed I ended up dead. Fun fact tho: it cancels if you do the deku smash again.

I found getting in a car fixes it and I had to figure that one out on my own
When that season was still going I managed to fix it by using Deku smash again after getting this glitch
