Sound installation - Jägerndorfer gauge N 2143 021 with MS480F and ZIMO sound

On the ZIMO Sound Database there are new ZIMO 16Bit sound projects of the ÖBB series 2143 with 8-cylinder diesel engine and 12-cylinder diesel engine! In these sound projects, the CV265 can be used to choose between the variant with compressed air starter and the variant with electric starter. The sound projects with electric starter have the special feature that all switched-on lights on the locomotive are dimmed when the diesel engine is started.
In this sound installation video, an MS480F, a 15 x 11 x 5mm loudspeaker and two 16V tantals were installed in the N gauge ÖBB 2143 021 from Jägerndorfer. The locomotive was also fitted with cab lighting. The 2143 021 in the video has the sound project with 8-cylinder diesel engine and electric starter loaded in the sound decoder.

Hallo, als ehem. N-Fahrer finde ich das ja alles toll gemacht. Aber ich kenne das Soundprojekt. Und auch hier muss ich wieder sagen, dass es sich in N einfach nicht lohnt. Da kommt bis auf die Signaltöne nicht wirklich viel rüber. Ein 11x15 ohne Resonanzraum klingt einfach zu flach. Da würde auch der LowShelf-Filter nichts bringen.
Würde man denn vielleicht mit dem 8x13 mehr erreichen können? Immer besser werdender "Sound" war für mich damals ein wichtiger Grund, von N wieder auf H0 zu wechseln, nachdem ich meine erste N Soundlok hatte. Ok, wenngleich auch die heute besser klingen würde😉
