It was the early 80’s and I was in a Dance Therapy Group Session healing from a traumatic event in my life. I requested this song and moved my body from the depths of my being. I sang this song to God and danced it like a prayer. I knew only a Higher Power could heal me and this has proven to be true to this day. There was not a dry eye in the house. I guess I danced like no one was watching and the Great Mighty Spirit touched us all in the room that day. Deeply grateful for this song as a key point of my healing journey. 🎶”When You Love Somebody… 🎶 💖✨

Erinnert mich an das Jungsein, an das unbeschwert sein, erinnert mich an die Lebensfreude eines jungen Menschen. Dieses Lied erreicht die Herzen der Menschen. Danke. Vielen Dank.
This song reminds me of my parents, married 55 years when cancer took my mom. Dad passed 18 months later. When we were going through his wallet, which we were never allowed to do, we found an old picture of mom, written on the back was "This is the love of my life, I will love you forever"

Pete Cetera wrote this wonderful song for Kenny Rogers to record while he was at his phenomenal peak in the '80s. It really fit the bill for the music he was making at the time. However, Kenny never got to hear the song, so Chicago ended up recording it. A really wonderful song that is one of my favourites.
Saw them in concert a long time ago, their music never fades. It's classic, romantic, and I play it all the time. Thank you Alexa, you know all the tunes!!!!!!
This song was literally the first song I fell in love with. Sixth grade, a girl I liked said she liked this song. So for the first time I really, REALLY listened to a song! I was hooked afterward. Ends up 7 years later the same girl was my first! Guess what song was playing? Chicago has been a huge influence in my life since 1984. 36 years ago.....wow how time passes!!! There is a song off this same album called “Remember the Feeling.” Absolutely beautiful song with Cetera’s vocals on point! How they didn’t release it as a single is beyond me.
Oh Daniel... just a baby when you went to this wedding reception, and it was the first song your mom and dad danced to as a married couple. Astonishing you have this in your heart’s catalogue. Beautiful.
I sure do miss the 70s and 80s. The music today is not even the same. Sometimes I wish I could find a time machine and go back in time. Life was much easier and everyone enjoyed life! Is this your favorite song?
This song brings back my youth. Grade 8 Dance. The girl of my dreams. OUR song. That night we started dating. 4 weeks later I find I have to move, my Dad has work on other side of country. 4 years later, I am back. and at prom we danced again to this song. It felt like I never left. NO time passed. We start dating again. 3 years later in college I proposed, she said yes. This song was our song at our wedding. Just me and her, Our song. Me and the girl of my dreams, My first and only love. 4 years latrer and I lose her and my unborn child in a car accident. This song still makes me cry so much. I never loved again. 30 years later and I am still in love with my highschool sweethert. My only wish in life is that I would be there with you at the end. I will see you soon baby and we candance to our song 1 more time.
Because if people kept making songs that sound like this, everyone would bitch and complain at said artists for not being creative or innovative or some shit.

Chicago was one of my husbands favorite bands. This song was the song we related to for one another. He passed away very recently and this song resonates with me now more than ever. Can't put into words how much i miss him...beautiful song.❤
This so reflects my life with my sweet 16. 53 years married been together since 1963. Now entering a autumn of our lives and I’ll be checking out sooner than I wanted. But I’m leaving her with many things to remember just how dear she has always been to me. I told her she won’t be able to forget me because everywhere she looks will be memories of me. She is still the most beautiful woman and I never needed another. My greatest joy has been loving her.
When we are lucky to meet that special person in our lives she indeed becomes our inspiration. We change and do things we never thought before we would do, just to please her and keep her happy. I have lived it with my wife for 35 years now.
Leonid & Friends has covered this wonderful piece and paid highest respects to Chicago’s version. They did a magnificent job covering this Chicago classic!

First off, I wanna personally dedicate this song to my both my late Mother and Older brother who passed away less than two years apart from each other. They took really good care of me from the time that I was a newborn up until I can take care of myself. So I wanna say thanks Mom & Jermaine for everything you guys are to be my inspiration. RIP: to both my dear sweet Mother and Older brother, and may we be reunited again in Heaven.
Sucks that 80s kids are all 40 and middle aged parents now. Songs like this from 1984/1985 take me back to growing up in the early 90s and I miss when the 80s kids were still only in their teens and 20s.
JPMcFly1985Two #FeelTheBern hey, I grew up with a lot of older songs (such as this one) and im a teen. I honestly don't care for newer music, a lot of it just starts to sound the same, now you don't need talent to be heard. Back in the day there was actual passion and beauty in songs.. It really makes me disappointed in what society has turned music into.
That's cool bro, yeah luckily a lot of teens like older music now. Just was thinking that it sucks to see people that are only 5-10 years older than me aging so much (esp. when I remember them being goofball 19 year olds when I was a kid).
I wish I was born in the 80s because I love the outdoors and hanging with friends and they are always on their phone. I want to go back to a time where there was little to no electronics

Thank You Father in Heaven
May Your Kingdom Reign Forever and Ever Amen and Amen ✝ Hallelujah
JPMcFly1985Two #FeelTheBern my mom was born in 78,I was born in 04 :3
For sure
I wish I was born in the 80s because I love the outdoors and hanging with friends and they are always on their phone. I want to go back to a time where there was little to no electronics
Lost in the woods brought me here. I knew it! This is the song that I've been thinking while listening to Kristoff
