I just stopped a moment, on what's probably my thousandth time here, because I wanted to say that, in my humble opinion, Tupac was much more than a raPPer! He was a great artist, and that is a very tough job! His greatest artistic talent was as a Poet, and not all raPPers are poets. It is the burden of any great artist, to not only live through the pain of their lives, and those they love, but to also relive it every day through their art. They have to do that because that is their purpose in life, and an artist cannot deny that fact, even when they want to. It also means the same art that helps everyone else heal, holds them perpetually immersed in that pain. You can't make good art without feeling it every time that you sing that song, or see that painting that you've made, or touch that thing that you've created. It's always there, and it takes balls to do that knowingly. Artists have a greater level of empathy than most. Although many folks will say that Tupac was "hard", there were plenty of tears and pains and frustrations that went into music like this before anyone actually got to hear that "hard" part. Besides his music being straight doPe, me knowing all of this on top of that fact, is what makes Tupac to me, in my humble opinion, much more than one the best raPPer's of all time. He's one of the best artists of all time.

I was told by my fave writer that he thought me writing poetry was brave and he could never be that brave, I think what you’ve said is similar though his writing took just as much bravery in my view just like those that paint, sculpt, make music whether with or without lyrics, it processes what’s in you, often the things that have had a big affect on you, trauma etc but it also brings you back to it too and I also agree with your comment about empathy.
