Learning About PATTERNS | Teaching Kids Patterns | Preschool Patterns Activities | Early Math Skills

In this video Miss Brittany teaches kids about patterns. She shows them how to recognize patterns, as well as how to create them. She provides examples of patterns seen in prints/materials such as clothing. Miss Brittany also shows examples of patterns created by colors, sounds, shapes, and common household items. Lastly, she challenges the children to find and create their own patterns at home.
*** The ability to recognize and create patterns help us make predictions based on our observations. This is an important skill in math period understanding patterns help prepare children for learning complex number concepts and mathematical operations period patterns allow us to see relationships and develop generalizations.
