St. Augustine talked in depth about the trinity and explained the relationship between the Father and the Son as the Father being Wisdom and the Son being the Truth. One cannot be without the other, but yet one is the fount of knowledge and the other the action of that knowledge. What are your thoughts?
I really enjoyed this talk. It helped me with my struggle of the Father generating the Son, yet they always existed. If I now understand correctly, the Father has always generated the Son and that is the best we can understand it since they are outside of time.
