Not everyone wants Wolf to play his Pops music. Actually I love what he’s playing now.. He’s doing it his way and that’s exactly the way his Pop would want it to….‼️

Yes. I agree. I’ve listened to Van Halen for decades, but really like how Wolfgang’s evolved. All his music is great. I’ve seen him live twice.
Just those couple songs Wolfgang did at Taylor’s memorial were good enough for me. AND proved to the world he could do it.

Wolf is his own man, just because his dad was a guitar rock god, has zero to do with the style of music he plays. From what I have heard from him, his music is good, I don’t see myself ever seeing him in concert or buying any of his music, but it’s good. Why aren’t people complaining that he didn’t try acting?

The tradeoff is never, ever having to worry about making money, which for people who must work for a living is the whole reason why people grow up knowing about and entertaining the idea of committing suicide.
Don't like your life? Oh well, go get another. And another. And another and another and another. And have plenty of money left over when you're ready to croak of old age.
Compare that to flogging the piss out of yourself working for a living and NEVER having a life, even one you hate.

Really in life that's all anybody can hope for, and we must take joy in that. I read a great quote from Dr. Peterson and it says: If you're depressed, you're living in the past. I hear a lot of pain in there though, it sounds as though he took a lot of shit over the years from people who were really jealous that his parents were so famous. I mean let's face it having Eddie Van Halen for a dad is a hell of a pedigree and a lot of people are really toxic and would be inclined to say some pretty shitty things to him over the years I have no doubt. Putting up with that must have been really tough for him. Finding his own voice through all of that was a remarkable feat. I have nothing but immense respect for his talent and artistry. He is in my view one of the most remarkable artists to emerge in the last 5 years let alone the last 10. I think it's people like him and Greta Van Fleet that are going to save rock and roll.

But if you are NOT independently wealthy, you have not perfect combined with having to get up and go to a job every single day, along with all that entails. OR you could just have an imperfect life and do whatever you want, whenever you want, with whomever you want. Like Cher said once, "I've been poor. Then I was rich again. Then I was poor. : / SERIOUSLY WOLFIE? YOURE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHO YOU ARE? LISTEN, WE ARE ALL UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS, CREATED BY GOD OUR FATHER! LIFE IS A GIFT! WE ARE GIFTS! MUSIC IS CERTAINLY A GIFT TOO. WHAT IS THERE TO FIGURE OUT? YOU ARE YOU! YOU KNOW WHO ARE! YOUR MOTHER IS YOUR MOTHER, YOUR FATHER IS YOUR FATHER, ( JUST AS IT IS FOR YOUR PARENTS, THEY TOO WERE BORN AND DIDNT ASK TO BE HERE OR GET TO CHOOSE WHO THEIR PARENTS WERE EITHER. ) JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE TOO! YOUR MOM WAS JUST A PRETTY GIRL FROM A GOOD ITALIAN AMERICAN FAMILY WHO GOT INTO ACTING. SHE BECAME FAMOUS. YOUR FATHER WAS ALSO JUST BORN INTO HIS SITUATION, WITH YOUR UNCLE AL, HE TOO, WAS JUST BORN INTO HIS SITUATION, BORN IN HOLLAND, YOUR GRAND PARENTS COMING TO AMERICA FOR A BETTER LIFE, BETTER OPPORTUNITIES, OR MAYBE BECAUSE THERE WAS SOME SCARY STUFF HAPPENING OVER THERE IN HOLLAND AT THE TIME? AND YOUR GRAND PARENTS HAD TO GET OUT OF THERE? BUT YOUR UNCLE AND YOUR FATHER HAD TO COME TO A NEW COUNTRY, LEARN A NEW LANGUAGE, FIND A WAY TO FIT INTO A NEW CULTURE, AND AT THE SAME TIME HAD TO DEAL WITH THEIR PARENTS, AND THE SHIT THEIR PARENTS HAD TO DEAL WITH NOT BEING AMERICAN EITHER. YOUR GRANDFATHER WAS A MUSICIAN AND YOUR UNCLE AND YOUR DAD GREW UP GOING ON CRUISE SHIP GIGS WITH YOUR GRANDFATHER TO HELP HIM HAVE A BAND AND BE ABLE TO MAKE SOME MONEY FOR THE FAMILY AND ALSO TO TRY TO LIVE OUT HIS DREAMS TOO, BEING A MUSICIAN AND NOT BEING ABLE TO MAKE A FULL TIME LIVING PLAYING MUSIC? THAT HAD TO BE HARD FOR YOUR GRANDFATHER. YOUR DAD AND YOUR UNCLE DID NOT HAVE AN EASY LIFE EITHER! BUT THEY BOTH LOVED MUSIC AND HELD ON TO IT AND USED TO HELP THEM ADAPT AND ADJUST AND COPE WITH THEIR REALITIES. INDIVIDUALLY AND TOGETHER AS BROTHERS. YOU ARE YOU, YOUR DAD LOVED YOUR MOTHER AND YOUR MOTHER LOVED YOUR DAD, AND YOU WERE THE GIFT GIVEN TO THEM BY GOD, AND THAT IS COOL! YOUR FATHER INADVERTENTLY BECAME THE GUY WHO TOOK GUITAR AND A NEW GUITAR SOUND HE CAME UP WITH, TO A NEW UNIVERSAL LEVEL! HOW COOL IS THAT! IM SURE HE DIDNT REALLY WANT EVERYTHING THAT CAME WITH HIS LOVE OF GUITAR EITHER! THIS LIFE IS NOT PERFECT AND NEITHER ARE WE! SO WHAT IM SAYING HERE IS, JUST BE YOURSELF WOLFIE! YOU DONT HAVE TO BE IN THE SPOT LIGHT IF YOU REALLY DONT WANT TO BE. YOU CAN MAKE YOUR MUSIC IF YOU WANT, MAKE RECORDS, GO ON TOUR AND PLAY IF THAT IS WHAT YOU WANT? BUT YOU DONT HAVE TO BE A PART OF ALL THE BULLSHIT IF YOU DONT WANT THAT. YOU CAN ALSO JUST RELEASE YOUR MUSIC AND NOT GO ON TOUR IF YOU DONT WANT TO. INFACT, BECAUSE YOU WERE BORN INTO THE FAMILY YOU WERE BORN INTO? YOU CAN REALLY DO ANYTHING YOU WANT TO DO! I KNOW YOUR FATHER LOVED YOU AND WAS VERY PROUD OF YOU JUST BECAUSE YOU WERE YOU AND YOU WERE HIS SON! SO IF MUSIC IS NOT SOMETHING YOU REALLY WANT TO BE DOING? THATS OK! YOU SHOULDNT FEEL YOU HAVE TO DO THAT IF YOU REALLY DONT WANT TO. YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY VERY MUSICALLY TALENTED THOUGH, SO IT APPEARS TO BE NATURAL FOR YOU TO PLAY AND MAKE MUSIC. BUT YOU STILL DONT HAVE TO BE A ROCK STAR IF YOU DONT WANT THAT LIFE? AND IM SURE YOUR MOTHER AND FATHER WILL ALWAYS BE VERY PROUD OF YOU NO MATTER WHAT YOU DID, AS LONG AS IT WASNT BAD! LEAVING THIS LIFE HERE IS PART OF THIS LIFE.. WE ARE ALL GOING TO LEAVE OUR BODIES AND THIS EARTH AT SOME POINT. SOONER OR LATER. SO DONT LET THAT MESS WITH YOU. NO ONE WANTS TO LEAVE, BUT WE HAVE TO, AND ITS OK, THERE IS A BIGGER PLAN IN MOTION. BUT IT ALL CENTERS AROUND OUR INDIVIDUAL CHOICE TO CHOOSE TO GO BACK TO GOD, REPENT AND RECONNECT WITH HIM, AND LIVE IN ACCORDANCE TO HIS WAYS, OR TO CHOOSE TO DO WHATEVER WE WANT INSTEAD? ONE WAY LEADS TO TRUE LIFE, AND THE OTHER TO DEATH. LOOK AROUND YOU WOLFIE, ALL THE BAD THINGS HAPPENING AROUND THE WORLD? ARE ALL HAPPENING BECAUSE BAD PEOPLE ARE DOING BAD THINGS! AND ALL THE GOOD THINGS THAT ARE HAPPENING AROUND THE WORLD? ARE ALL HAPPENING BECAUSE GOOD PEOPLE ARE MAKING THEM HAPPEN. WE JUST NEED MORE OF THE GOOD PEOPLE TO STEP UP AND STOP THE BAD PEOPLE BEFORE THEY STOP US! ANYWAY, REACH OUT TO OUR BIG BROTHER AND THE WORLDS SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST FOR ALL THE ANSWERS AND PERSPECTIVE YOU NEED! IF YOU ARE SINCERE WHEN REACHING OUT TO HIM AND LOOKING FOR HIM? HE WILL ANSWER YOU AND YOU WILL KNOW IT, AND THEN YOU WILL BE MADE AWARE OF ALL THE THINGS IM SAYING AND ALL THE THINGS YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND. NO ONE EXPECTS YOU TO BE YOUR FATHER! YOU ARE NOT YOUR FATHER, AND YOU SHOULDNT BE! YOU ARE YOU! YOUR FATHER WAS HIMSELF, YOUR MOTHER IS HERSELF, AND THAT IS IT.... JUST BE YOU! AND REACH OUT TO JESUS FOR THE ANSWERS YOU SEEK! YOUR MOTHER NEEDS TO DO THAT TOO! SHE GOT LOST IN ALL THE STARDOM HERSELF!

I WANT TO MAKE SURE I AM BEING HEARD. ITS UP TO THE PEOPLE READING TO DECIDE HOW THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE WHAT I AM SAYING, BUT IT IS UP TO ME TO MAKE SURE I GIVE THE MESSAGE I AM SUPPOSED TO GIVE. AND I DO THAT! DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW? IF PEOPLE WANT TO SEE THAT IM WRITING IN CAPITALS? AND DONT WANT TO READ MY MESSAGE BECAUSE OF IT? THEN THAT IS ON THEM! ITS IGNORANT AND STUPID, BUT THERE ARE A LOT OF IGNORANT AND STUPID PEOPLE AMONG US. NOT MY PROBLEM. I CAN ONLY DO MY PART. AND I AM DONG THAT.
