    The Little Bird rimfire suppressor from AB Suppressor in a head-to-head comparison with others in the industry. On the same day, in the same environment and with the same ammo and guns we tested dB, weight and length. See how they compare.
    The Little Bird’s patent-pending design is counter-intuitively simple, yet extremely effective. The threaded interior allows for the baffles to be individually adjusted for tuning to your host firearm's caliber, barrel length, etc., as well as for takedown and cleaning; a unique feature unmatched in the industry.
    ---No unnecessary baffle spacers or baffle extensions taking up valuable internal volume
    ---The internal threads act as an effective turbulator which diffuses combustive energy from the blast, and aids in the disruption of laminar gas flow
    ---Increased inner diameter surface area allows for more efficient processing of heat energy
    ---Each baffle has a threaded tap-like feature on the outer diameter to cut and pull carbon/debris out of the suppressor as it is removed
    ---By simply unthreading the 4 baffles with the provided tool, the user will have effectively cleaned their Little Bird
    ---No need for ultrasonic cleaners, expensive and caustic chemicals, or time-consuming scrubbing regiments.

    knew someone years back that had a home made one and you couldn't even hear so much as a whisper from it, if you were close enough you could hear what sounded like a dry fire but nothing else.

    As a small home based dealer/SOT I've had the privilege to shoot and own several AB Suppressors. For me, they are recommend, especially the Little Bird (LB) on a bolt gun. In my own limited testing they didn't beat the OSS Rad .22 in first round pop, where that can does really shine. However, the LB is very light and does conform very nicely to moat barrel dimensions, where others do not. Its definitely quieter than my Sparrow and I will be testing it soon against my CGS Hydra-SS and Warlock II. I can attest to my first time shooting a bolt gun with the Little Bird affixed, I swore the gun didn't even fire, it was so quiet with subs. I have one that is mated to a Savage MKII, bolt action.

    Why not using the Ruger suppressor? You were using a 10/22?

    I have used a number of suppressors most especially 22lr cans. And I have found that by ear alone there has been very little difference to my ear the difference in sound quality. I currently use a gemtech gm22 all aluminum parts except for the threats witch are titanium. I originally purchased a gentech model with a k baffle stack I was able to get the outback model with and aluminum tube a titanium baffles and since baffles are the dirtiest part of the device and dropping the baffles into a costic cleaner and leaving them over night while only needing to while the tube out with a cloth with a safe for aluminum cleaner and a nylon brush and cleaning the threads made it like brand new. Later I found thought a quick whip with the baffles and a little extra persuasion with a brass brush near the blast barrel and one or two closest two that where close in the line to the blast barrel a quick whip and I could reinstall what looked to be brand new pieces.I had this suppressor for over 8 years with know problums. I received a letter from gemtech saying for a minimal fee they would upgrade my suppressor to a gm22 there newest can with boasted a monocore that dropped decibel readings up to two points and the end cap would be changed so that no special tool would be required only a common one three eights inch socket if it was difficult I lt to remove the end cap the entire unite would be cleaned of any unseen build up and cleaning would become much less involved and messy.I decided to go for it and the return time was the worst over 11 weeks for a very well kept suppressor.But once it was returned it came in a nice case including a belt holder made of a very heavy nylon and after reading the directions I took it to my range where it performed as well if not better than originally.The best part was that in the directions using rags for unintentional burns unscrew the cap and quickly move the mono core and the tube back and fourth rapidly then temove the core completely and shake any residue our ot the can and reinstall the mono Corp and tighten it only slightly and after 7 years this has worked very well.

    Well, it didn't take long to figure out that you don't understand this at all. You wouldn't notice a 2db change in loudness. The smallest value you'd notice is 3db and many people wouldn't notice that. You never mentioned if the db levels you're using are weighted or how they're weighted (A, B ,C?). You're not giving frequencies, either. 100db @ 800 hz will sound a whole lot louder than 100db @ 80 hz. The design, shape and weight of a silencer can make a difference in how you perceive the sound even if it's at the same sound level (db). I'm not saying AB Suppressors aren't good. I'm just suggesting you talk to your engineers and get a better understanding of the topic.

      I think they’re trying to give information to the standard user and not the autist’s like yourself. Yes they probably have full waveform data that they can look at but most people don’t care about that. They care about 3 numbers: weight, db, price.

      Barely more than an inch more than the average length of the rest in this comparison. Is that super long?

    • @philbaker29
      @philbaker29 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@ABsuppressor if we're talking an inch, probably not. But factor in that suppressors are unfavorably long to begin with, one inch makes a big difference. Not knocking your product, just questioning the logic.

    • @ABsuppressor
      @ABsuppressor  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@philbaker29 Adding overall length is a pain. Especially with .22s which are typically only 16" for legal reasons to begin with. But the performance speaks for itself! Thanks for the feedback.

      I’m not a fanboy, except maybe of PEW Science (I’d love to see AB send the Raptor to him to start) but the Littlebird feel light and fast, and the tiny diameter is nice on something like the Taurus TX22.

    I know that the 17 Hornet is an afterthought in this comparison, but what do you suppose is going on with the Osprey that makes it *so* much louder than all the others when shooting the centerfire ammo? It's short, but only a third of an inch shorter than the Mask and some of the others, so... what's going on there?

    To bad they are illegal in the Netherlands for fire arms. The weird thing though, you can buy them for air guns… Dutch laws are amazing.

    • @ChuckBrewsterDOTcom
      @ChuckBrewsterDOTcom ปีที่แล้ว

      Is it illegal to make your own? Or any suppressor is illegal? The hoops we have to jump through in the States is silly. I bought my first one 3 years ago, 16 months later I was able to use it. They just switched to all digital, supposed to speed it up, nope. And each one we buy, we have to pay a tax of 200 hundred bucks to just protect our hearing, children's hearing, and not make the neighbors so mad at us. Even if you make one yourself, which we're allowed to do, still, 200 bucks. They make an adapter that's 50 bucks, maybe less, and you just go buy a fuel filter to screw onto it. You have to pay a 200 dollar tax on that too. Now, we've always been able to make our own firearms here, depending on the State, you don't even need to serialize it, unless you sell it. But you'd like to protect your hearing, maybe teach proper gun rules, safety, use a 22 as it's quite and great to teach new shooters so you're not screaming at them so they can hear you, more relaxed, stress free environment, because you're going to say, finger off the trigger a bunch, relax, breath, instead of screaming at them, silly laws for the law abiding.
      Sorry to see what's going on in your country with farmers, not a word on our news here. Stick together, get the word out. Go look for the cleaning can on alibaba, maybe even a 690 volt 20 amp breaker, they're not just flooded in America, they're everywhere. Also, they make a air gun here in America, built in silencer, that would drop an elk. I just don't like that much pressure near my face. Something like 30 shots before a 30 second refill. Keep up the good fight over there, get the word out if you can with what's going on. Maybe tell America you just found a bunch of oil, we can come over and leave a bunch behind for all of you.
