Nice work. Very interesting to see what creates the inconsistencies shroomless. For me it’s been hit and miss and never knew why. What I normally do is toggle right in the air, then down to get more air. Will have to try left.
I've spent tens of hours probably trying to do this. I'm so inconsistent at it and the times I do make it I don't cut much. I always hit the wall and fail. I am definitely snapping left I don't know why.
sounds like an alignment problem, you don't need to go for world record strats (aiming at the edged of the bump ramp), you can aim a little more toward the top of the bump ramp
I would say don't get caught up on the alignment in the beginning, just try to see if you can cut even a little bit of the lake off, then once you get use to the inputs, try to get a better alignment
@@Arcintel I still don't seem to make it. In case you haven't noticed the reason why I made the time stamps was for myself lol. I just don't get enough air. I'll try attempting it for like half an hour more. If I don't get it down I would be pretty upset considering the amount of time I've spent.
@@Arcintel Third party gamecube controller could also be an issue. The dead zones are all messed up the triggers feel very clunky and horrible. I've bought 3 of them for pretty cheap but one has stick drift, one doesn't even turn on and my final remaining controller has a bad analogue stick.
i didnt know there was so much resource in one plays, it always felt more like mkw info was scattered. great to see that someone actually somewhat structured it :D
Your videos are always short but well edited and recorded. It's near the quality of the TH-camr 'summoning salt' literally watch his mkwii ultra sc to understand. Keep up the good work arc!
@@Arcintel np man. Any time. I genuinely enjoy these videos. Even if I don't intend on doing them. I still watch them because of the amazing quality of the videos. Oh and thanks for the heart.
For the kart method I can't ever seem to get enough air. I am using Funky Flameflyer by the way not wildwing. I think my alignment is right. Do you have to do the spin drift sort of thing with snapping left with a cart as well. Thanks for the help.
I get shroom near every time w funky, but I don't like racing with the flame runner - I prefer the Mach bike for reaction stuff. And shroom cut I straight up cannot get consistent with the mach bike. I think it's the location of the trick button on the gamecube controller? Like, I NEVER use x or y, and they can both easily be thumbed without releasing a. Meanwhile to trick you either need to do some mad finger yoga or let go of steering. Grr
I figured it out but can never go tight enough to land near the end of the turn, I always land on the side of turn, it still works but it feels like when I do it that way I am not doing it well, but I am glad I can at least land it somewhere.
Is it possible to do the cut shroomless using with a dolphin dasher? (I kept writing "sch" instead of "sh" for shroomless. Learning German will do that to you, I suppose.) Edit: I'm using the nunchuk because I don't have a proper controller. I might get one eventually, but for now I'll have to stick with what I've got. P.S. I might also try holding the stick back to try and get more air.
@@Arcintel update: I tried the first method on auto and it didnt work for some reason...maybe I'm just stupid😅 Note: I play on dolphin emulator, so comands are more limited

Toad Factory...

Can't wait for Toad's cotton plantation.
Toads are the material they use to manufacture products
the BUP factory
is that a 2hu pfp?

great video on one of the most important shortcuts, very well made

we'll get there eventually :)

I like how we all call it the “lake cut” when it’s actually a pond not a lake.
Pond cut sounds so bad tho
One of the few channels that include kart examples, tysm

Dang Arc thank you so much for making these videos! Really filling a niche since tutorials for this game are hard to come by even on the forums
tricky shortcut. esp where the bike ends up landing over the lake. Getting a low trick on the boost ramp after landing can be tricky too
The part after the lake is tricky to explain, it relies on your takeoff on the bump ramp, and the delay takes practice I agree.
1:00 Me with a default Wii controller:
confused screaming
Just tilt your wheel back for a tail dive and forward for a nose dive, it’s pretty straight forward :D
I needed this thanks
Thank you for the guide!! I finally succeeded in doing that shroomless lake cut:)
I dont believe that i found this method without any videos...
1:00 for sc (also dw about the arrows just have appropiate alignment and drift turning for where you land)

Awesome stuff! Just side tricking shroomless on bike = Bad, just to note. I learned this from MitchMKW :)
I’m having trouble with building the mini-turbo and still having the line up proper before the trick. Any tips?
This really helped!
trick and snap left? was I supposed to be playing with claw this whole time...?
Can u plz do a wii wheel tutorial
Is Mii Outfit B okay to use in a funky Kong style?
1:18 DIDNT HOLD BACK
Using Daisy/Mach Bike. I’m barely hitting the track across the lake and falling. Any reason as to why?
i feel like the only one that plays this on wii
What is snapping control stick to the left in the Wii Wheel?
that would be spining the wheel to the left and pointing slightly down (the top of the wheel goes forward and the bottom comes back to you)
@@Arcintel okay I'll try it like that
Thx
I don't know, what i'm doing wrong, that's so stupid, i tried it hours and hours but got it just a few times 😭, could you somehow help me?
Should i first do it on 200cc?
Align middle-right
Late trick
Hold back
Slipdrift to the right
Trick, hold left, release drift
I tried to do that shortcut and it was hard. I need this info. Thanks
Why have Nintendo Made the Tricks on the D-pad xD

Some segments in the video are stamped not adjacent to each other
How can you trick and go left at the same time? For both buttons I use my thumb
Use the claw method
😛
ArcIntel ok?
why dont you just do a backtrick tho
You have less speed on anything other than funky flame runner you say. How about I use funky aero glider (jetsetter)
Can this be done with a regular wii remote?
apparently yes it can
Thank you
imagine needing a tutorial for this... LOL WOULDNT BE ME HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Hey looks like you took my request
Did you request this? if that's the case then your welcome! :)
We Can Do It With Wii more but ITS half

who calls this lake cut?
I made a video of me doing the shroomless kart lake jump
Just to save everyone time, this shortcut is not possible on 150cc or lower with any vehicle or character, you have to have the 200cc mod to make it
A mi me ha salido algunas veces pero la mayoría de las veces no me sale.

Can someone explain why you should release drift mid air? Trying to learn this but struggling to make it
