Croatia is place were Italians go on a summer hollidays. It is a mixture of ancient Rome and midle european arhitecture. One of the most beautiful coasts. And wery safe and clean country.
My son and I first traveled to umag for a karate tournament. I’ve been 3x, the last time my wife and went on a dolphin site seeing boat ride in rovinj. Can’t wait to go back soon. I love croatia, very special place.

Panorama of Rovinj reminds me of the Primošten a place near Šibenik, although I haven't seen anyone mention it. The weather got worse again. It started last year when climate cycles reversed
in Croatia in Istria you also have traces of dinosaurs on the islands Brioni and museums for dinosaurs and animals from that era, most of tursits dont know for that, for original traces(footprints) of dinosaurs

You guys have choosen the best time to visit Croatia. Firstlly just few people can Travel from Europe now to Croatia. Normally, it is from may till the end of september everyway crowded in Croatia. And it is not hot like in summer. In summer time you can`t just take a walk and look all those places becaus of the heat.

Yes it's such a picturesque place indeed! It felt so nice to walk around there on the winding alleys and cobblestone streets. Always reminds us of medieval movies. As avid scuba divers, we're all for fish and shark conservation. It wouldn't be ethical if sharks were commercially fished and eaten in large quantities, but we wanted to try it once. Also not sure if they are targeted specifically, fishing for sharks or if they are bycatch. Going to look into it!
@@NaickKim i was surprised because i know you both love the ocean, and I've had this conversation with an Icelandic and basically i was told if tourists didnt buy /try or ask for it they wouldnt hunt whales as most of them never eat it... To me anyway It's like you go to China and decide to try dog meat..."Just to try" its a big No No 👎 I love the ocean and we are destroying it, most people do not realise that most of our oxygen is coming from the ocean. We need to protect 🙏 more ... Sorry for the rant it was just bothering me
I doubt Croatia is among lesser visited countries in all of Europe. I'm pretty sure it's in top 20 or top 15 overall. But more importantly, it's definitely the most visited country in Europe "per capita", if you exclude micro population countries like Malta, Iceland or Monaco.
It's definitely in the top 15 I would guess indeed. We were more comparing it to the super popular countries like, France, Italy and Spain. I guess it's also more people in the Balkan who visit it. We personally don't know that many people who have been to Croatia.
It is very popular in Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia and Czechia. Its practicly neighbourinf countries and most tourists arrive with their own car.

Unfortunately you are wrong, Croatia is in the top 20 visited countries in the world lol. Rovinj is normally very busy you have just gone at the right time due to Covid
Its not really less visited country. 20 million tourists in 2019. is enough for small country of around 4 million residents. Great thing is that we have variety of landscapes in small area so you can relax on coast or be active with hiking on mountains or national parks.
Shark is my favourite fish. Very meaty. I just hope my diving friend, in Panama, doesn't see this. He is a "Shark Warrior". He has travelled the world saving sharks. I've dived with him in places called "Shark Alley" and "Shark City"
Something can be said for not eating shark. I'd say we are rather opposed to it, as we love scuba diving and would love to see more effort for shark conservation. Most of them are caught for the shark fins, which is a horrible practice, then another big part is just bycatch because of the fishing techniques used, which is also a HUGE problem, not just for sharks.
What makes you think Croatia is among the less-visited countries in Europe? 20 M or so tourists per year, tourism makes approx. 20 percent of Croatian GDP. I certainly wouldn't say that it is among less-visited countries. Istria is especially tourist-oriented, much more than Dalmatia.

As far as we know, it's not in the top 20 and not even in the top 10 countries in Europe.
According to some statistics Croatia is either 22nd or 23rd most visited country in the world with some 15 to 20 million visitors a year.

What makes you think Croatia is among the less-visited countries in Europe? 20 M or so tourists per year, tourism makes approx. 20 percent of Croatian GDP. I certainly wouldn't say that it is among less-visited countries. Istria is especially tourist-oriented, much more than Dalmatia.

If you compare it to other countries on the Mediterranean, you'd be surprised how Croatia stacks up against them. France 87 million, Spain 82 million, Italy 58 million, Turkey 37 million. Croatia ranks 14th on the list of European countries in terms of tourist visitors and is not in the top 10 European visited countries.

France - 136 million nights spent in the country by non residents.
Now consider that France is 10 times larger than Croatia.
Croatia is actually overwhelmed by tourists. Cities like Split and Dubrovnik are on the verge of being destroyd by mass tourism.

I know that the Croatian authorities are doing what they can to reduce the number of tourists in these places. Croatia does not need more tourists but rather fewer.

No, that's not the case. Here and there you can find a few, but most people we met didn't speak English, even in more tourist places.
