Fair play though George, you kept your foot in and gave what you had to offer on the day... It wasn't enough but it's not meant to be easy, you're doing well in the grand scheme of things. Posting up the videos that show these times are interesting for us and a useful tool for us and you to look back on for learning and improving 😁👌 Chapeau 🥐🥐🥐🥐🥐🥐
🙌 yep I sometimes need to take a step back and think about how far I’ve come in the last couple of years and also remember you can’t be on top form every week 😅
I have the same issue when traveling to a race the day before, my legs are dead the next day. I tried doing race openers in the morning before the drive, and it didn’t work. What so found works is to ride my bike for a bit as soon as I arrive to clear my legs. It seems to help for the next day.
Will have to give it a go I normally do ride my bike after the drive but it’s probably about 3/4 hours later… I’m not sure if the drive is just more fatiguing than I think 🤷♂️
@@GiorgioCoppolaCycling I think it’s more of just flushing your legs out, and doing a few openers, after the drive. It seems like the muscles are really tight and lock up after a long drive. Oh, and I also ride the day before the drive at Z2. Good luck.
Hey. Good luck in future races. Be proud, I wish I could ride that fast . Just enjoy the sport. I took up cycling at 49, wish I had started as a youngster. Your time will come to be at the front.😊
Good footage as usual Giorgio. Thats pretty much me hanging on and making up the numbers in most of my racing😁! Good work , worthwhile finishing, you never know whats going to happen in a race.
Making up the numbers… did I not see you on the podium 🤔 yep I never know how my legs and the race is going to go but it’s always fun getting after it 💪
@@GiorgioCoppolaCycling Yeah fair point well made Giorgio 😆. I mean't more in the nationals😁 the camaraderie is great at all these races. The suffering in the nationals is on another level. Good luck at the national champs.👍💪
Just as well you didn't move up at the start.. one bloke took the tapes out then that first guy on the floor by the concrete slab had the most spectacular crash I was surprised when he got up and jumped back on, seriously thought First Aid had a customer there he did a good endo and pirouette on his knogging!!..I'd have defo been grizzling me thinks. Cannock always a tough course more elevation than you think..well done and another good vid..
O boy sounds like a nasty one… would of been nice to see how it all happened 😂 I couldn’t believe how far from his bike he was! Yep it’s got some surprisingly tough climbs but it’s a great course
Having people cheering you on like those kids is a win in itself, cool little dudes
100% and they are both absolute legends 🙌
