Hi, I believe there has been a number of Thornless sport mutations in Marionberry but very few or only one, has had the same productivity and quality of berry as the thorny original. You may be lucky but the odds are not with you. Once you get fruit please post another video.
I have had this occur and thought about doing a video on it it is a almost thornless strain so if the plant is completely healthy and undamaged it will produce extremely less thorns on new growth but if u constantly damage the plant the new growth forms alot more thorns
That’s cool. If that propagates that might be worth some money. My Marion’s still haven’t flowered and it’s been 2 years

at this point I don't even know if the thornlessness would follow if I air layered those nodes
