I’d pay to have a Sega Saturn Mini. I originally wanted a Saturn back in the day, but then I played Super Mario 64 and decided to get an N64 instead. I still stand by my decision, but I still would like to play some Saturn games without paying out the nose.
I did the same thing back in the day. Somehow I felt personally responsible for the downfall of the Saturn because I got the N64 instead of the Saturn that Christmas, lol.
@@kameleongreen I actually got an N64 for Xmas too but I used money I earned from my little job I had to buy a Saturn myself. I have had every Sega console since the Master System except the 32X. I would definitely scoop up a Saturn and Dreamcast Mini. I wish I never sold my collections on eBay back in the day. 😔
I would like to see Dreamcast first, then when they see the good sales for the Dreamcast, figure out a Saturn mini and release that. I'm sure they can do it. I would buy both as I love to collect the Mini Consoles despite already having most of the games for them. I'd pay up to for a Saturn Mini if it costs more to make. That's a console I absolutely slept on and don't wanna collect for now as it is way too pricy for me now.
SEGA of Japan did a poll for most wanted mini and the Saturn won by a long shot. The Dreamcast was more popular in the USA. I think because the library of games for Saturn in Japan was massive. But few games got released abroad.
I live in The States & have more interest in a Saturn Mini just because of how hard to legitimately access some of its games are. Most of the Dreamcast's Library was ported to the competition during the 2000s. GameCube got PSO, both Sonic Adventure Games, & Skies of Arcadia. Xbox got Shenmue & Jet Grind Radio if I remember correctly, while PS2 got Ecco the Dolphin. As for Saturn there are plenty of great games still locked to it like Burning Rangers & Magic Knight Rayearth that I hope are included in the Saturn Mini. There is a lot more potential for Sega Saturn & these days the Western World knows how many gems there were for that system & many of them never left Japan during the 90s. Saturn was actively sabotaged by Stolar (who many believe was loyal to Sony & guilty of corporate espionage) after its poor western launch caused by the 32x & high price tag. No other major console in history was screwed over that badly in translation. Saturn clearly deserves a 2nd Chance outside Japan for its 30th Anniversary & I just hope we get to experience the best of what Sega's 5th Gen Console had to offer in the near future. Agreed & I hope that Japan Exclusives get translated, the region locked games was my biggest regret about the Genesis/MD Minis. Why did you port games that were never for the system to begin with instead of translating great games to regions they never graced before? 1 of my fears is that we'll get the inferior version of Fighting Vipers (at least give us Candy/Honey alt costumes if you can't legally get Pepsiman) I just want more consistency between the Mini Console offerings between regions when it comes to Saturn Mini. If that means having to wait an extra year after Japan to get the translations it will be more than worth the wait.
I'm more interested in Saturn Mini as Dreamcast's Best Games got ported already, yet Saturn has an entire library that is hard to access & could you imagine the hype if Japan Exclusives got Western Releases for the 1st Time as part of Saturn Mini. Please give us Japanese Fighting Vipers & not the western version that needlessly removed everything as well as Burning Rangers & Magic Knight Rayearth. I would have to look at the game list before buying a mini personally.

I would want to know the game collection before buying. Saturn has an incredible library, yet there are also the games that pushed people away from the console in the 90s. I'm hoping for Magic Knight Rayearth & Burning Rangers. Also if Fighting Vipers is in the game it better restore the Japan Exclusive Costumes for Candy/Honey at the very least, while Pepsiman would be icing on the cake.
Master System Mini, made properly, with FM sound, good quality in general, of course, and a lot of actually good games for the system, with many hidden gems that only were released in certain regions, and those SMS versions of games that are remarkably better then other console versions, including such ones as Alex Kidd in Shinobi World, Ultima IV, Ghosts & Goblins, Asterix games, and etc.
A Dreamcast Mini with Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, House of the Dead 2, Crazy Taxi 1 & 2, Speed Devils, Rush 2049, Powerstone 1 & 2, Jet Set Radio, etc... would be a day 1 buy for me.
One of my biggest regrets in life is not playing the Sega Saturn, man i need to pick one up. Sounds like a great life already RGT, who doesn't love a nap.
The Dreamcast mini should have propeller arena up there which was going to be a airplane dog fighting game in 2001 yet to be released for the Dreamcast but due to the 9/11 attacks, Sega decided not to release it to not appear as insensitive. The game was finished, but it was shelved forever, but you can find the ROM somewhere and see for yourself.
what would be good would be if they made a mini dreamcast and then either let you buy roms on a digital store, from master system, mega drive, dreamcast and perhaps saturn. They could do little physical cards aswell like the evercade, or it could be digital only. Also if they made it online compatibile they could have some of the online dreamcast games like phantasy star and quake 3
I would love a Sega Saturn mini with games like Daytona USA, Virtua Fighter 1 and 2, and Bug!. I think Sega will eventually pull this off and we'll get one, it's just a matter of time.
I wanted Magic Knight Rayearth, Burning Rangers, Nights, & the Full Japanese Version of Fighting Vipers above all else (Pepsiman was awesome & there was no reason to remove the Candy/Honey Alternate Costumes in the international version) of course that last 1 probably will never happen. Knowing Sega there would have to be at least 1 Sonic Game (I'm hoping 3D Blast) & how many games do you think would be included as part of Saturn Mini? Assuming less than 40 games total I would want to see some games that were hidden gems or never made it Stateside. I admit that no Fighting Vipers included would be better than getting the disappointing international version. I guess Daytona USA or 1 of the Virtua Fighter Games could be fun, although Saturn has such a huge library & the competition would be intense as to what games would be in its Mini Collection. I also want much more consistency between regions meaning everyone gets the same game list.
more like sega rally panzer2 and sage shing the holy arc grandia nights virtua cop 1 and 2 marvel super heroes x men vs streetfighter you know good games @@Ihatevideogames334
I want the same 40 games to be released in all regions with actual English Translations to Japanese Exclusives. No more Borders between gamers! As for some specific games I want how about 1:Fighting Vipers with the Japan Exclusive Features (The Honey/Candy Alt Costumes are non negotiable & must be restored outside Japan even if Pepsiman legally can't be brought back) 2: Magic Knight Rayearth, 3: Burning Rangers, 4: Nights. If those 4 games are included along with a bunch of translated Japan Exclusives I would pay $400 for Saturn Mini.
I’m sure a Saturn AND Dreamcast mini are BOTH doable, I hear Saturn emulation has been done on the Switch, the Dreamcast version of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 was the basis for the XBLA version and technology gets better a lot of the time! If I could make a Saturn Mini, its game lineup would include: Clockwork Knight Bug! Panzer Dragoon Panzer Dragoon Saga (if the source code is lost, surely you can just include rips of the original discs?) Street Racer (despite being published by Ubisoft back in the day, I hear this game now belongs to Piko) Sonic 3D Blast Sonic R Daytona USA Championship Circuit Edition Rampage World Tour Courier Crisis Magic Knight Rayearth Shining Force 3 Nights Into Dreams Christmas Nights Fighters Megamix The Need For Speed Soviet Strike For the Dreamcast Mini, I would include: Sonic Adventure* Sonic Adventure 2* Power Stone* Mr. Driller Frogger 2: Swampy’s Revenge Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Virtua Fighter 3tb Fighting Vipers 2 Jet Grind Radio* Daytona USA 2001 Space Channel 5 Fur Fighters Stupid Invaders Floigan Bros * = I know these games include VMU games, maybe they could be made playable via a VMU smartphone app?
For Saturn Mini I want to see several former Japan exclusives get translated, beyond that I want Burning Rangers, Magic Knight Rayearth, Nights, Panzer Dragoon, & Fighting Vipers with restored Japanese Exclusive Content. As for Dreamcast I want Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Sakura Taisen games, Samba De Amigo, Space Channel 5, & Shenmue. I want plenty of Anime Games if that makes sense.
i'd love both as minis. I've gotten all the minis they've released so far...I'm surprised they haven't done a Master system one. Granted it didn't do so hot in the states back then....but if Konami can do a TG16 mini, which also didn't fare as well here back then...sega should've done one for the SMS....or they should've released the GG one stateside, with more than 4 games.
Dreamcast is definitely one of the most memorable game consoles of all time! But I really think the should release a mini or a collection for more Sega CD games, I just want to get my hands on Dark Wizard! IMO one of the best tactics rpg games of all time!
Microsoft should sell a Sega branded version of the X-Box that comes with a Sega Virtual console where you can purchase classic arcade, DC and Saturn titles in addition to their 8 and 16 bit offerings.
Nice to know they do want to make Mini versions of their post-Genesis hone consoles. I'd like also like have what they're doing with Genesis games on Nintendo Switch Online too either way.
I'd buy both if released and have said so since the first generation of mini consoles. I have little to no experience with either library because they weren't that popular in my area and also at the time I was a kid too young to find solid work to earn money.
I strongly believe it would be just a piece of plastic to put into the controller. The saves would probably be emulated into the hard drive of the machine.
Both systems I've never owned but wanted to however the prices are crazy. I would buy both mini systems right now just to be able to play some of these games I've been hearing so much about for all these years.
Yeah Saturn is difficult to emulate but you have already pretty good emulator called Yaba sanshiro on android (Old yabaouse) and Kronos (fork of yaba sanshiro) so they can do good mini system on ARM architecure and select good library games for it.This is propablythe chespestway to do mini Saturn and easiest. I will definitly buy Saturn mini l, because Saturn is my favourite retro system beside Mega Drive.
Sega fan here as well. I was a bigger genesis fan when I was in middle school vs SNES. I got the genesis for my birthday and my brother got the snes. I'd like to see a dreamcast mini. The issue I have is the controllers... The damn thing would be as big as the mini itself...
I'd get a Saturn cause how obscure it's catalog is. Full of hidden gems. But most of all I want the Dreamcast Mini. I've always wanted a Dreamcast but never had one in it's golden years and I'd love to have a mini console with a couple dozen loaded on.
So there was actually a really good video put out recently from Adam Koralik that explains a few other reasons why these still haven't happened, especially backing up the Dreamcast. Basically it not only deals with hardware limitations or emulation problems, but interest in the products as a whole. There needs to be a significant nostalgia for each region to really gain the Mini treatment, or at least a nostalgic factor for 2/3. The Saturn is only really nostalgic in Japan where it actually did well, PAL & NA barely bought it & the nostalgia wouldn't be there to be a worthwhile investment. The Dreamcast actually has strong nostalgia for every region which is good, although it's hardware is still recent enough that trying to take a Dreamcast & crush it down to be a quarter of the originals size would make it cost $300, which is a massive turn off. They want to make these but they know it's risky or that it's costly which is why we still haven't seen them.
This would be awesome actually, Especially the Saturn mini and don't get me wrong I love the Sega Dreamcast but I would grab Sega Saturn because I never owned it. But if the price is right, I would grab them both. I really hope Sega will follow through with it.
I'd love to own a Dreamcast mini, I've played Dreamcast on emulation, but to be able to play it on a mini console would be pretty cool, everything upscale too
A Sega Saturn mini with the likes of Panzer Dragoon Saga would be AMAZING. Especially considering the insane price that Panzer Dragoon Saga goes for these days.
That won't happen. Panzer Dragoon Saga is Sega's magnum opus, and they wouldn't want to devalue the price of the physical copies in any way. Panzer Dragoon Saga is the greatest game ever made, and I don't say that lightly.
Personally, I want a 32X mini. I know it'll never happen due to it being obscure/ a disaster for Sega, but there are some awesome games on there. And with it being such a small library, they could easily fit it all on one system (although some stuff like Foom might be left out due to licensing). Knuckles Chaotix is still the only classic-era Sonic game that has never had a port! At least include some 32X titles if they ever make a Genesis mini 3.
at the very least we could get a 32X compilation for modern platforms so we have an official way of playing stuff like Knuckles Chaotix and Kolibri would also be cool if the 32X compilation got a physical release with that fancy and cool golden strip on the box cover to mimic the 32X game boxes, kinda like Sonic Origins Plus did with the Genesis
I think there will eventually be a 3rd Genesis/MD Mini that has the rest of the games that are included in "Sega Genesis Classics", more Sega CD games, and all of the Sega 32x games that don't have licensing issues along with a Sega Master system Mini.
@@MrSRArter Honestly they love the Genesis so much that I could see this happening. But if they are going to go this far, they should definitely do some (not so) hidden ports in this one. Similar to the Genesis mini Space Harrier port I'd like to see 32X releases of: -Outrun (it was supposedly in the works), -Super Monaco GP -Power Drift -Galaxy Force 2 -Thunder Blade/Super Thunder Blade -Outrunners - Golden Axe the Duel (might be too much for the 32x) and maybe ports of some of those other Sega Arcade titles from the early 90s ( F1 Exhaust Note, Turbo Outrun, G-Loc).
I hope Genesis Mini 3 gives us some of the games that we were told we couldn't have in our region in the 1st & 2nd of them. Give us English Translations of Popful Mail, Nadia, Megapanel, Magical Taruruto-kun, & the Lunar games & subs are good enough. Really the tactic of region locking popular games should have been abandoned by now!
Can you imagine how well Shining Force 3 (with all 3 scenarios in English) would sell on a modern platform? Why in the world have they not done this by now? If they ever make a Saturn mini, this title needs to be at the forefront!
I'd imagine that a Saturn mini would be expensive because you would need hardware that (in my opinion) would have to be much more powerful than the other mini systems that came to market before in order to properly emulate the system. The Dreamcast, on the other hand, is much easier to emulate on lower end hardware.
Would love both. Dreamcast is one of my all time favorites. I think the difficulty he is referring to is the cost/price. With both systems, you will need to use larger amounts of storage. Genesis Mini 2 had 8GB. Playstation Mini had 16GB. Guessing for a Dreamcast or Saturn, you would need significantly more for a decent library of games. Higher cost means higher price. And would people still but it if it was over $100? And for me, the Saturn would likely be missing some favorites just like the Genesis 2. WD licensed games would likely not appear in US and be Japan exclusives. And on a different rant, Sega , can we please get a new Phantasy Star???? Final Fantasy still sells insanely well.
I do not care that much about a saturn mini but man I would be down for a dreamcast mini. But ofc it comes down to the game selection so my perfect DC mini would include : Soul Calibur, House of the Dead, Phantasy Star Online (in ideal case with only play), Skies of Arcadia, Grandia 2, Crazy Taxi, Sonic Adventure, Resident Evil Code Veronica, Chu Chu Rocket, Shenmue, Power Stone and many other that I just don't think of atm
Dreamcast Mini is a must. They probably could save money by doing them on the same board over a 14 month period like Nintendo did with the NES/SNES Minis 1 year apart.
I follow the official Sega of Japan TH-cam. They did a poll and in Japan everyone there wants the Saturn Mini. And Dreamcast is distant second. They said they would make them both but one thing is stopping them. The chip shortage. I just hope when they do release they have online capabilities. Our fridge has internet so why not the mini consoles...

A Dreamcast Mini with Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, House of the Dead 2, Crazy Taxi 1 & 2, Speed Devils, Rush 2049, Powerstone 1 & 2, Jet Set Radio, etc... would be a day 1 buy for me.
HoD without a lightgun?
I don't think it would be right.
Speaking facts. A Dreamcast mini would be such a great thing for the fans.
The one I want is a Master System mini. There’s so many great games on it I missed out on in the late 80s due to Nintendo’s NES dominance
Look to Brazil. They might have one already thanks to Tec Toy
Take watt we can get.
Disney’s games that are non woke would be a welcome addition.
Yes!! I had an NES and my little brother had the Sega Master System
@@suroguner Disney’s games would trade at a discount right now because there parks are empty and most people don’t want to watch there woke content.
SLASSSSSSSSHHHHH DREAMMMMCASSSSSTTTTTTT
One of my biggest regrets in life is not playing the Sega Saturn, man i need to pick one up. Sounds like a great life already RGT, who doesn't love a nap.
I want to see a Dreamcast Mini as I still miss the Dreamcast I sold years ago. It would need to games that people would want to play.
Power Stone!
Not mini. Full size re-release the damn thing with multi game disks
Fighters Megamix too :)
more like sega rally panzer2 and sage shing the holy arc grandia nights virtua cop 1 and 2 marvel super heroes x men vs streetfighter you know good games @@Ihatevideogames334
I would LOVE a saturn mini loaded with the 2d fighters from capcom and SNK. Saturn was a beast for fighters.
Right there with you but Mortal Kombat Trilogy needs to be on there too. No load times!
If I could make a Saturn Mini, its game lineup would include:
Clockwork Knight
Bug!
Panzer Dragoon
Panzer Dragoon Saga (if the source code is lost, surely you can just include rips of the original discs?)
Street Racer (despite being published by Ubisoft back in the day, I hear this game now belongs to Piko)
Sonic 3D Blast
Sonic R
Daytona USA Championship Circuit Edition
Rampage World Tour
Courier Crisis
Magic Knight Rayearth
Shining Force 3
Nights Into Dreams
Christmas Nights
Fighters Megamix
The Need For Speed
Soviet Strike
For the Dreamcast Mini, I would include:
Sonic Adventure*
Sonic Adventure 2*
Power Stone*
Mr. Driller
Frogger 2: Swampy’s Revenge
Marvel vs. Capcom 2
Virtua Fighter 3tb
Fighting Vipers 2
Jet Grind Radio*
Daytona USA 2001
Space Channel 5
Fur Fighters
Stupid Invaders
Floigan Bros
* = I know these games include VMU games, maybe they could be made playable via a VMU smartphone app?
Don’t forget Crazy Taxi and Ready to Rumble for Dreamcast, somehow even get Seaman on there too.
@@aegonthedragon7303 maybe Seaman could let you use a USB microphone and/or the VMU app I just suggested?
They could make a new version of the VMU
Dreamcast Mini also should have Resident Evil Code Veronica.
I’d love to get a Dreamcast mini… I’m shocked they haven’t made one yet
He’s a Sega TH-camr today, yesterday he was Xbox. Any bets to what he’ll be tomorrow?
He'll be an Odyssey TH-camr tomorrow😉
Ikr, always keeps surprising
Whatever helps Sega coming back to making consoles, I'm in.
i'd love both as minis.
Oh man that would be awesome. Playing master system games is no easy task. I had to buy an adapter for my retron 5 to play my master system games😮💨
A Master would be awesome
@@Roger-fs5yoplaying the games is pretty easy, they can emulate on a tater tot, hooking up original hardware is the hard part 😹
@ihatetmntshreddersrevenge2543 I wouldn't say those thing's if I was you. Master Segata will come looking for ya👌
SLASSSSSSSSHHHHH DREAMMMMCASSSSSTTTTTTT
Dreamcast is definitely one of the most memorable game consoles of all time! But I really think the should release a mini or a collection for more Sega CD games, I just want to get my hands on Dark Wizard! IMO one of the best tactics rpg games of all time!
Dreamcast mini would be an instant buy
I would buy Both, so many Classic games on Sega Saturn and Dreamcast
Hey didn't I just see you over in STYX's comment section🤣
In my opinion the Sega Saturn had a much better game library than the Dreamcast, it would make sense for a Saturn Mini if possible.
How nutty would it be if Sega jumped in to the console market again with a dockable handheld!
Like for classic games? Idk man...
@@gligarguy4010 like the asus rog ally. It could have the library of sega games pre loaded and play new stuff.
Sega fan 😂but this guy always talking about Nintendo b
Microsoft should sell a Sega branded version of the X-Box that comes with a Sega Virtual console where you can purchase classic arcade, DC and Saturn titles in addition to their 8 and 16 bit offerings.
@@Blas4ublasphemy i can see asus doing that.
I would love to have a sega Saturn and Dreamcast. To show these kids what type of consoles we had back in the 2000’s
We were so poor back then - we only had *two* genders...
Minecraft, GTA, and Call of Duty can suck it! These kiddos never got to experience real gaming.
Nice to know they do want to make Mini versions of their post-Genesis hone consoles. I'd like also like have what they're doing with Genesis games on Nintendo Switch Online too either way.
I pray that Sega does release Saturn and Dreamcast minis. That would be awesome !!
I would order both in a second.
I love sega
You better. You don't want master Segata to come and fire ya up🤣
I would definitely get a Sega Dreamcast mini if they made them
I would camp outside a store for the Saturn & Dreamcast, no question about it
I'd buy both if released and have said so since the first generation of mini consoles. I have little to no experience with either library because they weren't that popular in my area and also at the time I was a kid too young to find solid work to earn money.
Dreamcast mini with online chuchu rocket and I'm sold
I wonder how they would do the VMU? It would be cool if they made a working VMU to go with a possible Dreamcast Mini
maybe new rechargeable VMU's with a built-in collection of VMU games & 16x time more memory than normal VMU's?

@@Mr.Atari2600 We can dream lol
I strongly believe it would be just a piece of plastic to put into the controller. The saves would probably be emulated into the hard drive of the machine.
@@marciopinho6100 yeah, unfortunately I think you’re right. But we can hope
If the Dreamcast mini would have 'Omikron: The Nomad Soul' or 'Silver' I would get this thing day one.
SSF is still one of the best saturn emulators.
I would love a Saturn or Dreamcast mini. Ideally both.
Yes please!! FFS! WE WANT A SATURN & DREAMCAST MINI! MAKE IT HAPPEN AND RAKE IN THE PROFITS ALREADY SEGA!
I loved my Saturn and dream cast , I would love a mini of both.
I think I'd hop on the Dreamcast mini a little faster but the Saturn mini is also an interesting possibility for me.
I'd get both
So there was actually a really good video put out recently from Adam Koralik that explains a few other reasons why these still haven't happened, especially backing up the Dreamcast.
Segata Sanshiro🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵
This would be awesome actually, Especially the Saturn mini and don't get me wrong I love the Sega Dreamcast but I would grab Sega Saturn because I never owned it. But if the price is right, I would grab them both. I really hope Sega will follow through with it.
I collect mini consoles. I hope they release a Saturn and Dreamcast mini. I will 100% buy both.
I would buy both systems as minis in a heartbeat.
I would 100% buy two of each if they made them.
At least include some 32X titles if they ever make a Genesis mini 3.
at the very least we could get a 32X compilation for modern platforms so we have an official way of playing stuff like Knuckles Chaotix and Kolibri
would also be cool if the 32X compilation got a physical release with that fancy and cool golden strip on the box cover to mimic the 32X game boxes, kinda like Sonic Origins Plus did with the Genesis
Similar to the Genesis mini Space Harrier port I'd like to see 32X releases of:
-Outrun (it was supposedly in the works),
-Super Monaco GP
-Power Drift
-Galaxy Force 2
-Thunder Blade/Super Thunder Blade
-Outrunners
- Golden Axe the Duel (might be too much for the 32x)
and maybe ports of some of those other Sega Arcade titles from the early 90s ( F1 Exhaust Note, Turbo Outrun, G-Loc).
That's right! There are dozens of us!
@@jimx117 I think you might be underestimating the size of the fan base just a tad.
I’d buy both in a heartbeat.
God I want a little Saturn Mini so bad.
If a Dreamcast Mini happens, I hope Jet Set Radio and both Power Stone games makes it on to it
I'd imagine that a Saturn mini would be expensive because you would need hardware that (in my opinion) would have to be much more powerful than the other mini systems that came to market before in order to properly emulate the system. The Dreamcast, on the other hand, is much easier to emulate on lower end hardware.
I think the Master System mini should be a thing too. It could emulate sg1000 also. Yes, i do.
Golden Axe should get a sequel
While watching the video I was thinking about Golden Axe. There's another SEGA franchise that could use some love.
Dreamcast Mini would be hooked to my monitor ALL THE TIME!!!!
I love phantasy star old games better than the old final fantasy ones.
Really? I’d die for a Saturn Mini. It’s just hard for me to emulate that stuff.
Id definitely be interested in a Dreamcast mini.
DREAMCAST MINI!! MAKE IT HAPPEN!
Please!! I would want a dream cast mini with crazy taxi and soul reaver at the very least.
Dreamcast Mini is a must. They probably could save money by doing them on the same board over a 14 month period like Nintendo did with the NES/SNES Minis 1 year apart.
They’re not wrong the sega Saturn is honestly impossible to emulate
I follow the official Sega of Japan TH-cam. They did a poll and in Japan everyone there wants the Saturn Mini. And Dreamcast is distant second. They said they would make them both but one thing is stopping them. The chip shortage. I just hope when they do release they have online capabilities. Our fridge has internet so why not the mini consoles...
