I have this exact car with stage 1 map 210hp 420nm on coilovers rear spoiler gti style rear bumper diffuser side skirts and a front gloss black splitter
He should have made it look more like a GTD replica with it being diesel, but I still think it's cool either way. With the map (stage 1), that GT would be around similar level to a GTD.
I never understand "fake" cars like this, I had an e90 320i that looked very similar to its M3 counterpart (had same body kit, M3 front bumper, carbon spoiler) and I was always a bit embarrassed about it as people thought it looked rapid etc but it was just a crummy 320i, was really embarrassing at the lights
quite simple people love the look of the golf R but dont have the dosh for one but get a standard and make it to a R like mk5 golf tdi people turn them into Gti look a likes
Nice motor. Black car, would look mint properly corrected & polished, give some exposure to a small detailer just an idea and cost effective. Keep it up Calv 👍🏻
To be honest most people giving a car away for free of this value, and it looks perfect. Probably would not spend anymore money on it, but that's why I love Calvin he's an absolute legend 🙌🏾

Yes done that change the steering wheel on a GT to the GTD steering wheel not that simple ended up going to a place in Surrey called lazy days few years back now change my GT Into a GTD headlining seats wheels the lot steering wheel is the hardest one great video can’t wait to see what you could do with it

Exterior is perfect, I'd just polish it all up and just spend a little £ on a service and some maintenance. Maybe do the steering wheel and deffo a stage 1 map, half a tank of diesel would be a nice treat for some1 also 😂
Good all round car. I’m sure that 420i you tested was broken. There’s no way the Golf should beat that car which has a quoted 0-60 time of 7.3 secs I believe.
I would love this car I’ve got a Mk6 golf and this would be the perfect upgrade doubt I’ll win it tho. Mods to do stage 1 map, steering wheel and I’d say if it’s possible nice looking twin chrome exhaust tip like on the gtd
Some shiny gtd exhaust tips would look mint along with a little r line spoiler, dechrome the grill (except badge) and lower bumper and get rid of those halogen bulbs for some nice bright white ones 👍🏽

Maybe the Golf R is steering wheel if you can find good enough price and the gear knob , wicked video Calvin as always!
in my opinion the GTI/R line steering wheel is better. It has metal trim instead of gloss black
you will need to cut 4 cm of shifter knob
One thing you could do is a 7.5 front and rear bumper. Already got the lights🤷♂️

Great video . same engine in my Audi A3 , can tune 185-200 BHP. 400nm torque you notice the most .
You should put the front LED headlights from the Mk 7.5 to match the rear lights.

Get a GTD stearing wheel would make more sense also give it a little roof wing
You could put a smoke tint on the windows and change the back box to make the twin tips stand out a bit more
Wouldnt do too much Golf R bits just because i'm not a fan of reps but a nice set of headlights from the R would be nice wilh some DRL's
What about going for a premium sound system since it’s a diesel, doesn’t need to be a full on boot build but sub/amp, speakers and some tweeters.

I think a little more power try and remap etc up to about 180 brake that would transform car .Be fast enough to be fun .
