    The analysis was so helpful for understanding the game :)
    A note about the titles - it’s awesome that you’re working to make scrabble more engaging and accessible to the public, like the thumbnails and interesting titles are great instead of just precise-but-generic “scrabble match tournament X.” And the stream layout is on point! But maybe tone down the emojis a bit? IMO it actually backfires. The words do the job to sell the appeal, you don’t want to then make it look like just cheap clickbait. Just my two cents as a viewer, I initially hesitated on clicking the vid for this reason. Regardless, keep up the great work!

      Did the thumbnail change? It looks ok with no emojis now.

    39:20 i wonder if ben played this having in mind the possibility of drawing into TEQUILAS. might be improbable but what a way it'd be to go out - given that QAT didn't come down the turn before, it's not too hard to imagine that the Q and at least one of the unseen As are left in the bag

    Since I don't see it mentioned, I believe that Ben's best out sequence, if (PI)C is in fact the only C play, is to block with either (PI)S or (LID)S for 5, leaving OI in the bottom right for 21. This totals 32 points when you count the C from Adam's rack. It would still lose by 18, but is 7 points better than what was played. Not easy to see under time pressure, though. I always am scared I'm missing a spot for a tile to play.
    There is also the cool sequence of (LID)O, (L)I/(R)I(M), (O)S/(AXE)S which is just 1 point worse, but you need to be careful to play the I before the S, because COS is a word.

      I think the C-stick was mentioned by the commentators but not the cool sequence! Thanks for watching - more games to come!

    Great commentary. I feel like the commentators should also be credited in the description, and introduce themselves at the start of the video. They are obviously great players in their own right.. it would be nice to know who I'm listening to :)

      @letsplayscrabbledotcom  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, that’s a good idea - when I upload individual games I’m including the commentator’s names and lifetime record links. Thanks for watching!

    What does "courtesy draw permitted" mean?

    • @TheUnlocked
      @TheUnlocked ปีที่แล้ว

      It means they're allowed to draw tiles to refill their rack. Usually you're supposed to draw tiles at the start of your turn because your last play can always be challenged by the opposing player during their turn, but as a courtesy you're allowed to draw tiles in advance during the opponent's turn (of course you have to put them back if they do challenge and you lose).
