Chakrata is a cantonment town and also a sub district/tehsil, in Dehradun district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It lies between the Tons and Yamuna rivers, at an elevation of 2118 m, 98 km from the state capital, Dehradun.
Chakrata can be reached from Dehradun via Mussoorie or Vikasnagar passing through kalsi Gate (where Ashoka Stumbh is situated). Both routes pass through beautiful mountainous roads. Travelling in the monsoon can be tricky as the area sees frequent road blockages due to landslides.

You can visit Chakrata anytime in year. A suggestion would only be to just avoid july and august month due to monsoon season.🤗
Greenery would be similar for now before snowfall there.😊
