Cate's work was so phenomenally truthful that I left the theater annoyed because I found some of Jasmine's defects in myself. That's the first time a performance has felt so authentic and thridimensional to me. And then she did 'Carol.' I was transfixed, such a breathtakingly gorgeous film and classy character - like poetry in motion. I left the theater wanting to emulate her class. So Cate, I hope you get your third Oscar soon because you really do transcend the screen and the stage❤️
She should have won For Carol ,but it was probably too soon after she swept award season for Blue jasmine and the academy is reluctant, I guess, to give out back to back oscar wins
