Don’t listen to Fu Man Chu! Your videos are amazing! I was waiting for this comparison. I like the Pocket3 DOF but the focal length and the gimbal is difficult to work with sometimes when I’m vlogging. Many times where I was off center and didn’t realize it. Also battery life sucks. I have the action5 now. Maybe I’ll just get rid of the pocket3 before the pocket4 is released.
Thanks. I never considered the Action 5 but it’s more capable than I expected. I’m looking for a quick budget friendly real estate vid cam. Since I wasn’t in the market for an action cam, you made me reevaluate replacing my Go Pro Hero 8 for my motorcycle off road filming. Hmm?
Is there a problem with actions 5 pro? Outdoors the image still looks noise. on your glass or for any reason I also use two cameras but the action 5 does not get as much noise in open areas.
Great comparison 👏🏻 in my honest opinion the action5 pro is the most versatile. You can use the action 5pro in any situation vs the osmo pocket in only a few ,specially speaking when the weather conditions change. Both are amazing cameras but for a vacation trip I'm going with the action 5 pro simply because it does everything that the pocket does plus more . 🍻 👏🏻 ✌🏻
Hey thanks! Appreciate that, now that I have had some time to think about it, I am going to take the Action 5 Pro to NYC. The difference to me isn't so drastic that I have to take the Pocket 3 - Thanks for comment and the support!
@@delrayguy399 I have a video coming out on Monday. I took it to NY and curious to know what you think after that, hope you watch that one. 🙏🏽thanks for the support
You should take the Action 5 Pro to New York, since it’s a newer camera. It would give you a reason to test it out more. At this point, you probably used the Pocket 3 for almost a year 😉👍🏻
They are for different uses. One is an action camera, the other is a gimbal camera, more fragile, but it has bigger sensor which means better in low light and bokeh
💯💯, but lots of people have been using them for the same thing like vlogging and making TH-cam videos. That’s why I made the video. Thanks for watching!
are you using the "wearable" mode for the pocket 3? or did you use that rig shown? P3 as a POV cam can go wonky and has a bit of unpredictability factor due to the movement... and you really wont notice with wearable mode
@ after the latest firmware, yes, the new wearable mode will automatically shut off your screen after five seconds, and is meant for POV shots. The risk of the gimbal pointing the wrong way still exist.
@@CharlieVN can I be totally weird? I feel like wearing the pocket 3 protruding from my chest, might be hard for me to do and call even more attention to myself.
It's a million times better... In the rain or swimming or you go BMX or upside down in the snow. Except that nothing beats bigger sensor with fast aperture and working AF
@@trym2121 it’s a crazy comparison I know. But I feel like a lot of people relate using both to make TH-cam videos. Appreciate the comment! Please come by again!

@@kianamaruu don’t regret it. I find that all of these cameras are excellent. You can only tell differences when they are side by side or if someone is looking for differences. The pocket three is excellent.
You shouldn't. Action 5 Pro is good and versatile for many scenarios! And with firmware updates it will be better and better, while the Pocket 3 already got most updates. And you should watch some videos about custom settings. You can watch Action 4 Pro videos, for those custom settings videos. Still applying to 5 Pro too. And use D-Log M and use a LUT for color grading. For low light scenarios, get a Gimbal like Hohem M6 or cheaper V3. Disabled Rocksteady and use custom settings for low light. The gimbal is your stabilizer while you get a cleaner image in the dark. That's what I figured out so far. I don't have the camera / gimbal yet to test it myself.
@@homezonebenny hmmm putting it on a gimbal, didn’t think of that. Really great ideas! Thank you so much for sharing. I think the Gimble will really help in low light for steadiness.
