Agreed. Needs reduced by 75%. I bought my kid a sit n spin because I always wanted one as a kid but my parents had better sense than me. I donated it within 6 months. They are teens now but If I could do it over they would have very few open ended toys like 5 options and 5 in storage for rotation. It’s overwhelming for them and for the mom. Damn marketing. You did an excellent job cleaning it up though. Godspeed

Hi Becky, sorry about the shelf collapsing I guess in the middle of the night? As you were cleaning and narrating, I thought of maybe putting cubbies throughout the closet one on top of another and compartmentalize the toys by small sections. Meaning, educational toys in one area, creative toys in another so that way when each child wants to play, you would ask them what they feel like doing? You give them the option and they play with it until they get tired of it. Pick up and move on to the next area. That way it's easier for you and them. Having each section compartmentalized its easier for them to decide what they want to do and focus on one thing at a time. Hope this helps.
Can you please do a video/include in a video on how you maintain your fish tank? /whats in it? I had a smaller one and it failed miserably 😅 could not for the life of me keep it looking clean.
That's my husbands job, he is the one who wanted a fish tank. We agreed when we got it that I would have no part in maintaining the tank. I have too much to do as it is. 😂
We move regularly and few months before a move I remove some toys and pop them in garage or somewhere out the way. If not asked for within a month or so then I donate it x
Haha I'm a pile person too! Or throw it in the direction of where it needs to be, then putting it where it goes later. You know, whatever works! And my daughters bucket looks just as full as that one. Why are the baby dolls never wearing any clothes? I'll never understand it! LOL
What I do to keep the kids happy is put toys away for like a few months and the after get them out and put another toy away and then they think I buy new toys for them
All that small stuff, I would have just thrown it all away. I would have never sorted it. I do that in my daughters room all the time. If it’s tiny stuff in a pile and she keeps doing it, I just throw it away or I’ll be picking it up over and over again for the rest of its existence.
That's exactly why I took the time to sort through it. This way, I'm giving the kids a chance to pick things up and put them back where they below - now that they have a place they belong. If they continue to leave them out, we will not be keeping them. So far they've been putting everything back! 🤗
I'm going to give the kids a chance to play and put away first, now that everything in the room has a home. If they leave these "bottom of the box" toys out still, they will be tossed! 😆
Are you sure you want to move all those toys to your new home? That's enough for several households full of children and surely you don't want that much clutter in your new home! Kids just don't need that many toys.
NO! Lol We will be reevaluating when we move, once we take everything back out. All three of my kids have birthday's coming up, plus Christmas will come shortly after we move. I think it will be worth it to re-declutter once we move into our new home.

As a mom of 3 whose kids are grown you would be wise to stop investing in so many toys. It ends up being an incredible waste of money, time and effort. Here is what I've learned. Rotate 10 to 20 toys per week. Spend time doing games and crafts. But the best presents you can give your children is your time and experiences. Baking, Museums, libraries, nature centers, just exploring outside. It's life changing. ❤
Thankfully, majority of these items are from friends and family. We do not invest in toys. Besides a few specific things here and there. We choose to spend most of our time together having fun, learning and making memories. 🥰
@Becky Moss that's good. We ended up with entire room of toys too. I'll never forget my daughter lost a particularly painful tooth and for that she got a Barbie Dreamhouse 😲😅. She got married last year December and now she needs a real house...lol. Your babies are adorable.

Try to put away some of their toys in plastic containers,then rotate them 4 times a year, seasonally. It's worked for my daughter and grandson 😊

It took about 8-10 hours 😅 but also consider, it does take a little long to clean and declutter while filming - moving the camera and what not.
