Are all these apps designed for Mac? I’m about to by an MacBook Pro with the m2 pro chip and I’m honestly not really sure if a Mac is good for architecture bcc of what I have heard from some TH-camrs. Please let me know
Nice I have been looking for a simple app or software I want to remodel a small room into a computer/gaming space so I need to draw it and put in cabinets and furniture then move things around to see the best fit and layout before starting to avoid waste and extra cost. I want to see things on the wall like TV's/Monitors etc. and I do not need big details for the cabinets, desk or countertops but I do need to be able to resize them (custom) as the rooms and spaces are not standard I just want to see what works in the space on the monitor to avoid many changes later. Cabinets are the biggest issue when I read about any software at the basic level, they always only have a drop in from a library without being able to resize them unless you want the pro bigger packages. That won't work for what I need to do. Searching always gives too many choices when looking for something free up to reasonable one time cost these days. Thanks for the video

Is there an app that allows you to rearrange your EXISTING furniture in your home so that you don't have to physically move them? In other words, you take a picture of your room with all YOUR furniture and then you can move them around in the app to see what it would look like. I research and cannot find any that allows you to do this.
Yes!!! I've been hoping to find something like that for so long -- can you tell me if you find something? (Or not necessarily our own photos but at least that has a variety of "example furniture items" to put in the space to make it possible to at least find something similar in color/shape -- i found one like that but didnt get time to test it out (if i find it i can tell you which it was if it helps you at all)
@@tashatomic4893 i think Room planner has a big furniture library with a lot of variety and different dimensions including items from ikea and other companies 😊 and it also has ar room planning but i dont remember if it was included in the free version or not

Planner 5D was the app I was using and it was the best for me, until the last update. It became horrible! I had to uninstall it. And now I'm here. Will try some of these apps definitely.
@@harddocs I tried a few apps, and nothing worked like planner 5D. So..i am back to 5D.. Hehe. And it's working better now, atleast for now. So yea, couldn't find anything better than this one. 🤣
@@Yassi_gorl same here! When I was using the earlier version, it was so cool! I mean there was this option to unlock elements by watching ads. And then came the new version.. 🙄 Not only was it lagging, but tney removed the ad-unlocking feature also! So I left it. But then there's no app like this one, atleast I couldn't fine one. So I came back. And atleast it's not lagging now. I just have to accept the fact that the ad option is gone 😑
I have Autocad Light 2012 and only use 20% of its functions 10y after. Autodesk products are too complicated and expensive now with their subscription, for professional draftsmen only.
Apps like magic plan are all honestly not really useable - the models are off by a lot because they rely on AR Kit and suffer from drift - same with all LiDAR scan apps
The moment Shapr3D adds custom materials and a sun study they could be a serious competition to SKetchUp - maybe add better section tools and then yes sketchup is dead

BIMx is not a designer app, yo can't draw with it. It is a free app that comes along with a very expensive Architectural BIM software Archicad from Graphisoft. Archicad is one of the competitors to Revit and is far from free... The app mentioned in this video is only a viewer for Archicad models.
