I FINALLY went to Effteling last year (when there was no more lockdown around) after all the time you guys talked about it. I was SO hyped, and honestly, you guys sold it perfectly. It was amazing ! We didn't even have kids with us, just my mom and I, and we still had a blast. Thank you so much for this discovery. I am actually genuinely happy when i see its position in the top bc of how much we were amazed. (and we might have done Fata Morgana three times)
I'm so glad to hear that! Especially since it appears to be EXACTLY the kind of park I've always dreamed of, ever since I was a kid! I could never afford it, but I would give almost anything! =)
The Efteling and Phantasialand are the best non Disney and Universal parks in the world in my oppinion the theming is top notch same level as Disney only at smaller scale also, Toverland in the Netherlands is becoming a great park if you ever have the chance its worth the visit, Europa park is pretty good too, but the theming quality varies strongly between rides, but Can Can, Voletarium, Snorri touren, The splash battle and Piraten van Batavia are top notch rides too especially the queue lines of Voletarium and Can Can are really immersive and highly themed
@@ajr9176 it's not dull at all this video doesn't do it justice but the fairytale forest could be dull for trill ride seakers. The efteling has plenty of trill rides so idk
The only park of this list I’ve experienced was Efteling at the Netherlands. And this park is very close to perfection. The atmosphere and theming will blow you away. Some recommendations for you if you’re planning to visit: Experience Baron 1898. It’s not super intense but the theming is unmatched. Don’t mis out on Joris en de Draak and Python. Python is a brilliant introducer to inversions. The 4 dark rides can’t be ignored. Carnaval Festival is very fun for the kids but if you are a bit more grown then I recommend not going on it as the queues for it can be up to 1 hour. I recommend Fata Morgana, Symbolica and Droomvlucht. De vliegende Hollander is a very cool water and coaster hybrid you can’t miss when going there. Max en Moritz is fun for the kids but if you are in a rush then I recommend skipping it. One thing a lot of people miss out on is Vogelrok. This indoor coaster was pretty scary. You could barely see anything and it felt like your arms and head would hit a object at any time. No joke, I found it just as thrilling as Python. Probably the most overlooked thing in the entire park is the Pagode. This thing goes op 200 feet (60 meters) in the air and gives you the best views ever. Your in a fantasy world and you feel like a bird flying around. But the best thing out of all the attractions: Sprookjesbos. Ive never thought I would be so suprised from the animatronics that were there. You’ll enjoy your time I can promise. But if Efteling is so good (in my oppinion) then Europa park and Disneyland Paris must be from a different world!
they are, Europa-Park is just something else. Disneyland is pure magic, which is AMAZING but if you like a thrilling ride here and there, Europa-Park is better. Disneyland has more memories tho, you will never regret going there. I hope you'll experience them one day!
@@joppe98 yes!! This year I went to Europa park for the second time, it’s the best theme park I have ever visited (I even think it’s way better than Efteling in my opinion) !! Im planning on going many more times
I have been to probably half of these parks as I live in the UK. My favourite is Disneyland Paris, as I love Disney parks and have visited there since I was 6 (early 90s). I do love Alton Towers here in the UK though. I am desperate to visit Efteling as I love the fairytale themes and the dark rides especially look incredible. ❤️
The Efteling is my home park and I must say it has the best dark rides in the world if you don't count Disney and Universal, especially Symbolica which is the, in my oppinion, best themed dark ride in the world, but the scale is smaller than your average Disney E-Ticket
@@wimberkers6901 yes I have seen a few videos and bits of Symbolica. It really does look amazing. I also love that it is a completely new concept story and based on the park’s mascot, rather than an IP outside of the park. I do hope to get there in the next few years.
@@Rachael8989 Yeah its a totally custom theme and story also the architectural style is unique and the characters have so much identity its totally unique and has a lot of stand out scenes I think you"ll love it once you get there also it was build for 35 million which is about a third or something of the cost of big Disney Dark rides and it is deffinitly on that theming level, only thing that is not on Disney level are the animatronics, but even they are top notch for sure, just not as smooth as Disney's but deffinitly really smooth aswell and the ride really sells the feeling of not just entering a dark ride, but going on an audience at the kings castle its a really diegetic and immersive experience that nearly makes you forget your in a ride it almost feels like entering another world for real the ride system really complements the experience in a way you forget that it is even a ride system something that normally can only be found at disney and universal everything just works
Now you guys are obligated to make a video like this for every continent (except Antarctica ofc) lol. For instance, very few in the theme park community discuss parks in Africa, so I'd love to see a video on those
It's so sad that the Movie Park lost their license. As Warner Brothers Movieworld Park it was so amazing. I visited it on every Birthday (because it was free) as a teenager. Now it is just a shadow of the amazing Park that it used to be 🙁 But I still got my happy memories and I'm so glad, that I've visited the park a few times before it changed.
People might find it strange, but my favorite park remains to be 'Walibi Belgium' because it has everything for everyone.... and I did all of the parks above in this video.
I have NEVER went to efteling in my entire life but after digging through youtube & other datas scattered around the internet.... Pardoes the royal jester / sorcerer almar's apprentice is my favorite mascot.!!!!! (And I love to hear symbolica's OSTs.!!!) Also.!! Disneyland paris...!! This year 2022 is their 30th anniversary.!!! I just can't wait to see what they will show & do.!!
You completely missed out Blackpool Pleasure Beach UK! It's one of the top parks in Europe 🤷🏼♀️. IMHO Europa Park is 10x better than Disneyland Paris. Way cheaper to get in, and loads more to do (plus you're not waiting 2 hours to get on a ride lol). Its theming is simply gorgeous, and they have incredible shows too.
I am at Heidepark on a regular basis. Once a year minimum. Mostly twice a year. I went in the early 90s and after a big gap the recent years too. And even if true that Big Loop is one of the remaining attractions from its early days...do yourself a favor and skip it. Its old and the seats are terrible. You WILL bang your head hard on the seats. I got Terrible migraine from that. If you want thrills get on Krake, colossus, Desert Race or Flug der Dämonen. Plus the HTTYD land is very cute for younger kids.
The only thing keeping Gardaland away from the top spots is the non-existent maintenance. The famous sea monster is broken down and doesn't even move his jaw anymore. Blue Tornado has the most uncomfortable seats ever, you bump your head a lot and many people get hurt. My friend with pierced ears finished the ride stained with his own blood.
I've visited all the parks in the video. I disagree with the ranking, and I think many other park fans will also. Some inclusions are very strange. Heide Park? Legoland? (And i'm a LEGO fan). Thorpe Park has 0 theming. Where is Liseberg? WDSP over Phantasialand? I can tell the people who prepared the video have not actually been to these parks. But ok, your other videos are good :)
Blackpool Pleasure Beach was missing too! Oh and Europa Park is the best park in Europe imo. It knocks the socks off of Disney. Maybe I'm biased as I worked there for a few years, but it's an absolutely stunning park.
Interesting. I just don't know what the parks are sorted by and what is rated as "top" amusement park. Because some rankings, especially the "top 3", do not match the current official rankings at all...
Your french isn't bad 😁👍 But honesty, I know that the Studio park of Disneyland Paris is concider to be a park on his own... but we always consider that they are both part of "Disneyland Paris" 😆
I remember going to DLP a couple years ago. Definitely a lot of fun and will want to go back one day! Plus of course see quite a few of these other parks on the list! :)
Nice video overall...but honestly...Phantasialand deserves a sport much higher than that....and the parts shown from Europa Park do not do the beauty of the place justice at all....those were mostly grey autumn recordings showing and empty park...like some parts shown of the (also) very beautiful efteling...I mention this because the sequences of other parks made them look so much better...

The park needs big maintenance in a lot of area's. (Same for WDS, what doesnt even deserteurs top 25 in Europe)
